Guide was very personable and somewhat knowledgeable but we could have covered more ground in less time with less talking. I would prefer more educational narratives.

The tour moves along very quickly and is very informative. It was very crowded while we were there though.

This was my 2nd trip to the Vatican and my husbands 1st. He was very excited to go and wow was this tour a disappointment. We were scheduled for an 11:30 tour and we spent the first 45 minutes standing on the street corner with our tour guide showing us pictures of the paintings that were in the museum and telling us what each one meant. Then we finally got to the museum and spent another 30 minutes waiting for the company where we booked through to bring the money over so we could get in. Our tour guide took 15 mins explaining why we couldn’t get in. Our tour finally started and we rushed through with our tour guide stopping here and there talking way too much about one thing or another. He would also stop and explain many times why we should not get lost from him. It was just very disorganized and disappointing. You get what you pay for. Spend the extra $$ and go with a better company!!

The Vatican was PACKED. Our tour did a masterful job of weaving us through the crowds, but consider going early in the morning or later in the afternoon. Our tour at 10am meant we were battling so many crowds. Also, if you want to see the Pieta, enter St. Peter’s Basilica through the Holy Door on the far right. It’s free to enter, but that’s the only way to see the incredible piece. My mom’s dream was to see this statue and we both wept at how beautiful it was.

Tour was supposed to start at 11:30…we didn’t start until after 1pm. When it finally started it was rushed. We could hardly understand our tour guide even though we chose “English tour.” Not a good experience overall.
