Koutoubia Mosque
Une première mosquée aurait été construite peu après la prise de Marrakech par les Almohades (vers 1147), mais elle fut reconstruite car mal orientée vers La Mecque. La mosquée actuelle fut achevée dans les années 1150. Son nom, “Koutoubia”, vient du mot “kutubiyyin”, qui signifie “libraires” ou “vendeurs de livres”, car un marché de livres se tenait autrefois à proximité.
Bahia Palace
Le Palais de la Bahia est un chef-d’œuvre architectural du XIXᵉ siècle, conçu pour incarner la splendeur de l’art islamique et marocain. Sa construction initiale a débuté entre 1866 et 1867 sous l’impulsion du grand vizir Si Moussa, avec la réalisation de la partie nord autour d’un vaste riad central. Le complexe couvre environ 8 000 m² et compte jusqu’à 150–160 pièces, desservies par plusieurs cours et jardin Le Palais devint rapidement une résidence princière, logeant Ba Ahmed, ses quatre épouses, ses 24 concubines et leurs enfants, ainsi que de nombreux serviteurs

5.00I was on holiday in Marrakech and Abdou was recommended by a friend. What about .. lovely person, super prepared, kind and professional. He speaks excellent Italian and knows in detail the beauties of the city. With his stories dictated by the love for his work he really made me get to the heart of Moroccan traditions, tastes and customs. I also advise you to live this beautiful experience and to turn to a competent, correct and experienced person like Abdou.

5.00For our visit to Marrakech, through our organized tour we met Abdou, a local guide who spoke very good Italian. He accompanied us through the city, giving us interesting explanations about history and culture, making the visit enriching. We also really appreciated the helpful tips he gave us to make the most of Marrakech, allowing us to discover aspects of the city that we would otherwise have missed. A good support to explore the city.
