The tour begins at Shimbashi Station, known as the site of Japan's first railroad running in 1872.
First, your local tour guide will take you to a casual bar run by Nara Prefecture, which is known as the "birthplace of sake". Here, enjoy a 30-minute all-you-can-drink sake tasting! The selection of more than 20 different types of sake, which changes daily, is truly varied, ranging from authentic sake made with "Bodai-moto," the yeast that originated in Shorakuji, the birthplace of clear sake, to dry, sweet, slightly sparkling, cloudy, and fruit sake.
On the second stop of the tour, your guide will take you to a teppanyaki restaurant in Ginza. You will be greeted by a skilled griller in front of a heated Teppan.
Serving only the highest quality A5-ranked Wagyu beef, the restaurant not only offers a wide variety of Wagyu beef, but also seasonal soups, seasonal Wagyu beef dish, garlic rice, miso soup, and special condiments and sauces as part of the course menu.

Such a fun experience! I ended up being the only one on my tour and the guide and myself just tore through the city and had a great time. First place he took me had a lot of really good sake, and he thoughtfully explain the difference between each one and the culture significance of sake in Japanese culture. He gave me some great recommendations to take home. The wagyu beef was also amazing, some of the best I’ve ever had. Watching it prepared hibachi style was also very entertaining. The food overall was delicious, but not too overfilling. This was a really fun experience that I would do again in Japan.

Wow! What a tour. Pay attention to the meeting place directions. I put in the coffee shop and Google led me right to it. Ken, my guide, brought me to a satellite store of Nara, Japan... The home originator of Sake. You get 30min to taste what they have from Nara. Plus a cool history and process of Sake making. The store and Sake bar are beautiful and spacious. Might be able to shop but I didn't. Onto Wagyu... The restaurant has tepanyaki style cooktop, seats 8 at each table. Our menu was set with soup, a beef and radish salad and ALL YOU CAN EAT WAGYU. WHAT????? The starter portions were enough for me, 4 different parts were presented and cooked to the chef's specifications. Don't ask for well done, this is high quality beef to be savoured medium rare. Finished with garlic rice and miso soup. A sake drink is included or beer and wine if you prefer otherwise. Then onto Ginza, a little walking to ease the full stomach... Finally finish at a coffee shop with a light dessert. This is a heavenly tour for foodies. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
