Enjoy a ~8-hour private tour capturing the best of Wellington - Oriental Bay, Mt Victoria, Weta Cave, Massey, Wahine and Ataturk memorials, scenic drive of Eastern and Southern bays, Wellington Wind Turbine at Brooklyn, Pukeahu National War Memorial Park/Tomb of Unknown Soldier, Wellington Cable Car, Parliament Buildings and Old St Pauls Cathedral.
Note: For cruise ship passengers this tour will operate on a slightly reduced itinerary.

We have a brief walk around the Parliament grounds where your guide will point out the iconic ‘Beehive’, Houses of Parliament and the Parliamentary Library building.
Old St Paul's
Built between 1865 and 1866 Old St Pauls Cathedral is one of the best examples of Gothic Revival architecture in the world. The Cathedral is particularly poignant for American visitors. A large contingent of the American Marine Corp were based in and around Wellington in 1942 and many Marines would attend Sunday services. The American Marine Corp flag and the American national flag of that time with 48 stars hang proudly inside the Cathedral. Here we have a guided tour with a Heritage NZ staff member who will provide an extensive overview of the history of the Cathedral.

5.00Tom of Kaewa Tours, Wellington is not only knowledgeable but also extremely witty and helpful. I had to drop my car at the airport and he went out of his way to help me at every step. His choice of restaurant, Scorh-O-Rama was excellent. With your permission, he takes your pictures on his own phone, puts them together and shares them with you at the end of the tour. He explains every attraction in detail and later compiles the list of places and a write-up on each of them that we went to and shares them over an email. Most importantly, his emphasis on safety is inspiring - I saw him refusing prospective business to avoid compromising on it. Tom is an outstanding guide and a thorough gentleman. Thank you Tom

5.00Tom is a phenomenal tour guide! Incredibly knowledgeable about the area and he went well above and beyond in customizing his standard half-day Wellington tour to suit our curiosities (and even extended it more toward a full-day experience once we really got to being curious about things...). And beyond all that he's terrific company with a good sense of humor, no shortage of local color stories, and great pride in showing off his home. We truly cannot recommend this experience highly enough.

5.00Unforgettable experience!!! It was basically the best tour we've had in Wellington! Many Congratulations to Simon a wonderful guide with so much experience very attentive to us to our requests! He came to the hotel to pick us up and practically from there the dream began! He took us everywhere to visit museums, magnificent landscapes in the highest points of Wellington, beautiful churches, delicious fish lunch by the sea in a beautiful place and much much much more! I recommend this Tour to all travelers do not miss this opportunity will remain in your heart for so long! Thanks so much to Simon is the whole Tour!

5.00My husband and I were traveling with another couple (friends) and we had some doubts about signing up for a tour which included a couple of stops we were not interested in, but Tom Collier was immediately agreeable to adjusting the planned schedule to suit our preferences. Tom was knowledgeable about every site we visited, took good photos along the way, and was great fun to be with. We like to find our own way around cities to see the sights, but this tour allowed us to see sights that are less accessible without a car, such as Evans Bay and the suburbs of Seatoun and Brooklyn. A sidenote: one of our group left his jacket in Tom's car and Tom was most gracious about returning the jacket to our hotel. We all were thrilled that the day was full of interesting sites and incredible views, and that our guide, Tom Collier, was a delightful guide/companion.

5.00I always try to find companies who are happy to take on solo travellers. It’s not my fault that I’m travelling alone any more so I welcome being taken on board, especially when I’m happy to pay the premium that goes with it. Tom an Kaewa Tours we’re happy to do this. He contacted me almost straight away after making my booking and I appreciated that greatly. Then, when two days out, he hit a snag but he contacted me immediately to ask whether my plans were flexible enough to change. When I replied that it was not possible, he just said he would find some way to honour my original booking, no sweat. What more could anyone ask? A man who keeps his promise has my instant respect. He organised another guide, Simon. This was a master stroke … A big rugby and cricket fan and we were best mates right away. Coincidental, yes, but, hey, it works … that beside though, he knew his home city like the back of his hand. Simon was a brilliant guide. He was friendly and knowledgeable, a man of good humour and nothing was a problem. I saw the city with the help of a Wellingtonian born and bred. Every sight was interesting and informatively presented, lunch was included at a lovely seaside eatery and the time just flew by as he guided me round this beautiful place, making my first day ever in it completely memorable. If you’re looking for a personalised tour of Wellington then look no further than Kaewa Tours. They deserve to succeed on this quite magnificent day that I was able to enjoy.

5.00We had a lovely day with Tom. He was a wealth of information about Wellington and you could tell he truly loves his home city. We were a party of 4 with some having mobility issues and he took every step possible to make the day perfect for all of us.

5.00My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our day out with Tom. He was knowledgeable, passionate and full of great information. His tour around and in Wellington was fabulous and his pleasant and easy going demeanor made our time with him much more special. He made us feel like we had been friends for years! We highly recommend Tom and his team!

5.00Absolutely fantastic tour with Tom! We had a full day off the cruise ship, explored all of Wellington with sites we never thought we would see. Tom is knowledgeable and personable, navigating the streets we could not hope to drive ourselves on! Had a fabulous time, private tour for two couples. Highly recommended.
