Visit former Nazi concentration Camp in Auschwitz which was the largest camp of Nazi Germany. See one of the oldest Salt Mine in the world. Discover both of these places on our full day trip from Krakow. In Auschwitz you will join licensed guide who will bring you closer to the history of this place. The memorial tour in Auschwitz begin at the entrance gate by the ironic slogan - “Arbeit macht frei” Next you will see prisoners’ barracks and railroad track that transported people to gas chambers. Auschwitz tour takes around 2 hours and Birkenau tour around 1-1.5 hour. After that our driver will drive you to Salt Mine. Tour in Salt Mine takes around 2.5h and during the tour you will see St Kinga’s Chapel - 54 m long and 12 m high chapel resembles interiors of medieval wooden churches and is a real underground wonder with breathtaking chandeliers made of salt crystals, underground corridors and landscapes thatcannot be seen on the surface saline lakes and beautiful underground chambers.

VISIT: While in the camps, visitors are required to behave appropriately and respectfully.
VISIT: There are no restrictions regarding the age of children in Wieliczka Salt Mine and Auschwitz Birkenau Memorial and Museum, but they should be either capable of walking unassisted or carried in baby slings or baby carriers. Baby pushchairs are not allowed underground (salt mine)
VISIT: Visitors are generally allowed to take pictures with a few, clearly indicated exceptions.
LUGGAGE: The maximum size of your carry-on can not exceed the following dimensions: 30 x 20 x 10 cm. You can leave your larger luggage in the car.
CLOTHING: Temperatures in Wieliczka Salt Mine are around 59ºF (15ºC). Also, it should be taken into account that narrow paths may seem claustrophobic, and once underground there is no possibility to shorten your visit and turn back. At the entrance, visitors descent 400 steps down and the whole tourist route features over 800 stairs
ENTRANCE: As it is mandatory in Auschwitz Birkenau museum to confirm your personal details, you are required to take with you passport or ID to be presented at the entrance to museum. Please do not forget it, otherwise you may be not allowed to enter museum.

Your tour begins with transportation from Krakow, either from the hotel you specified or a designated meeting point of your choice. The Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum is located in Oswiecim, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes away (65 km). All drivers we work with have the necessary EU certifications for passenger transport. You will be accompanied by a friendly, English-speaking group leader who will assist you whenever needed. Upon arrival in Oswiecim, you'll have a brief break to grab a coffee or explore the outdoor exhibitions. Afterward, you’ll be introduced to your local, professional guide, who is officially licensed by the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.

2.00The 6:15 start became a 5:45 start. It ended up being a 12 and a half hour experience with the Birkenau part halved as two on the trip were late back from Auswitz (should have left them there). Was overbooked so the Salt Mine leg had to have 4 people move to a later time with another group which then meant more time waiting. Even after all that we were glad that we went but should have been a better experience.

4.00While it was a day long trip, it felt a little rushed. Visiting a place like Auschwitz is very moving and we didn’t feel like there was time to just take in the emotional aspect of it. We went through it at a brisk pace.

1.00I purchased a 10.5 hour tour from Viator to go to Auschwitz Birkenau and the Salt Mines. When the bus finally arrived at the pick up location, the driver said it was for the Salt Mines only. (He was rude and not helpful at all, as witnessed by others on the bus.) I tried to contact Viator with the phone number given to me by the driver. No one answered. I tried contacting through WhatsApp and the Viator app but not response to my texts on WhatsApp. I received a response on their app approx 2 hours later. They said I purchased the Salt Mines only tour. I sent them pictures of what I purchased, which showed Auschwitz and Birkenau photos. Viator FALSELY advertised this tour. I paid $168 for two people to go to the Salt Mines? Absolutely, not! At another location in Krakow, other tourists had similar experiences with Viator.

5.00A very well organised day. Everything was seamless from pick-up through to the tours. Our bus driver was very friendly and our tour guide at Auschwitz Birkenau extremely knowledgeable and considerate. The salt mine in the afternoon was also definitely worth the visit!

1.00I can’t say why WE WERE LEFT LYING, ripped off and wasted the whole day we had organized with this platform. It has misleading advertising, you buy the Auschwitz birkenau tour pack and salt mines, and when they send you your ticket salt mines appear alone, it's a scam. We were with more people waiting at the meeting point and they left more than one person lying. Totally NOT recommended

1.00Terrible. We registered for what was advertised as Auschwitz & the salt mines tour. We were picked up to find we were on the salt mines tour only and not Auschwitz which was our primary interest. We left to find the correct tour as we were also given 2 totally different places for pickup. To our shock the combo tour we booked did not exist. My confirmation & ticket both say the Auschwitz & Salt mine tours and Auschwitz entry fee is ticked as being included in the tour. It is so deceptive as the website lists both as separate tours as well as a combo tour. Because we left the Salt mines tour we were considered a no show so no refund. The Viator staff have been extremely unhelpful in resolving the confusion.

1.00A real SCAM. A visit to auschwitz is not included. In the reservation detail is given duration (10 h ) and itinerary. We find out only later that only the trip to the salt mines is included. Now we can't go to Auschwitz. We immediately demanded reimbursement for this theft.

1.00We are so disappointed. The name of this tour is Auschwitz AND the salt mine. It was $229 for two people . After the salt mine, we got lost getting back to the van. He left us. Then we found out it was only the Salt Mine. We are so disappointed and I can’t seem to get any answers . We are missing the most important tour of our vacation.
