Experience one of the most memorable lessons of modern history. Visit UNESCO World Heritage Site, a former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, where more than a million Jews and other prisoners were oppressed or killed during World War II. The flower strewn Death Wall, national memorials, gas chambers and crematoriums, preserved ruins, the remains of hundreds of barracks, watchtowers, the railway line and ramp - all this forms a moving testimony to the number of those who lost their lives. The tour is led by a sensitive, licensed and local guide which helps to understand the touching history and cruel things that happened there.

[DEPARTURE] Booked times are approximate and may change due to museum scheduling or traffic.
[DOCUMENTS] **Full names of all participants MUST be provided during booking (the same as on ID or passport, no nicknames). Passport or ID is MANDATORY for each participant and will be checked. NO ID = NO ENTRY!**
[VISIT] Guided group tour only, no individual pacing. Respectful behavior and smart casual dress required. Eating, smoking, and loud behavior are not allowed.
[PICKUP] Some Krakow hotels are in restricted traffic zones; pickup will be arranged from the nearest accessible point and you will be informed in advance.
[LUNCH] Lunch is not included. There is no time for a full meal between visits, and no food facilities on-site, so please bring a snack.
[SECURITY] An airport-style security check is required before entering the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.
[WEATHER] The tour runs in all weather. Up to 70% of the visit takes place outdoors, so please dress appropriately and bring water on warm days.
[CHILDREN] Children must be accompanied by an adult. Infant seats are available. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, the tour is recommended for ages 13+.
[PHOTOS] Photography is allowed except in marked areas. Flash is not permitted inside buildings.
[RENOVATIONS] Due to roadworks in western Krakow, pickups in that area are not possible. The Straszewskiego 19 meeting point is temporarily closed. We will arrange a nearby alternative if needed.

Your tour begins with transportation from Krakow (hotel you specified or a meeting point you choose from). Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum is located in the town Oswiecim, about 1h15min in one way (65km). Every driver we cooperate with has all required by EU permissions for passenger transport. An English speaking and friendly leader of the group will assist you at any time you need. After arriving in Oswiecim, have a short break to grab a coffee or keep an eye on outdoor exhibitions.Then be kindly introduced to your local and professional guide who is licensed by Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.

Start your tour by walking through the gate to the first camp - Auschwitz I - originally conceived as a concentration camp, to be used as a detention centre for the many Polish citizens arrested after Germany annexed the country in 1939, with the most recognizable sign Arbeit Macht Frei (Work Makes You Free).This part usually takes 2 hours and you will be using a headset to hear your guide clearly. The group according to the Museum’s rule counts up to 30 people making the visit comfortable and accessible for every participant. Visit the original wooden buildings, fortified walls, barbed wires, gas chambers and crematoria - all of those leave a shocking impression allowing to imagine the scale of Holocaust.

5.00From start to end the tour was amazing. The company was so extremely helpful and respond quickly to all messages. They offer other tours and private cars, which was helpful to get from the airport to the hotel late at night. The day was set out in an efficient manner and the tour guide and driver were amazing. The experience at Auschwitz was informative and harrowing at the same time. Everyone should experience it once in their life. I would recommend this tour group to everyone!

5.00Christmas market in December. A beautiful square on the old medieval central plaza is a wonderful and atmospheric setting. Great value although if you wander away from this area you will get even greater bang for your buck. Only issue is fog at Krakow airport which can be a big problem on times. If you can fly to Katowice it is far more reliable at this time of year , having necessary kit to land and take off in fog.

5.00Tour was somber. I took a lot of pics since it’s something that I’ve always wanted to see in person. The driver picked me up from my Vrbo apartment on time. He was very friendly and we chatted about Auschwitz and the Holocaust. I paid for a lunch, and being a vegetarian they had an option which I was happy with. The sandwich was delicious. The tour was fantastic and I recommend it. We had a few minutes between the two camps but not much. It goes by quick.

5.00The guide was very knowledgeable , he walked at an appropriate pace without feeling rushed to gain the full sense of the occasion. The weather was cold and foggy which gave you a very chilling feeling hiding the tracks and seeing the carriage in the fog and not knowing what was next?

5.00A very well organised tour and I would highly recommend Hello Cracow. Their communication was great and they sent over very clear information in advance containing the itinerary for the day and lots of other useful information too. Everything ran exactly on time as well.

5.00Excellent Experience with Hello Cracow. We booked a private pick up which we were kept informed of time of pick up & the time I requested was not changed. Excellent Driver took us to Auschwitz & collected our tickets so we did not have to queue. Everything was really easy. Our tour guide throughout Auschwitz & Birkenau was brilliant, really informative. We ordered a lunchbox with them which was around £9pp but was well worth the money, containing a Fresh Baguette, water, juice, chocolate bar, fruit & biscuit. We also arranged the following day a private trip to the Saltmines & again everything was brilliant from pickup to tour & transport back to hotel. I would Highly recommend Hello Cracow.

5.00We were recommended by a friend to use this company after reading horror stories of waiting in queues at 3am to get in to the museum but we needn’t have worried as we were picked up mid Morning for our trip. This was a very well organised and smooth tour from pick up through to meeting our guide who was very knowledgable and being shown around both Auschwitz and Birkenau. At times in places we felt a little rushed in places as we would have liked to read the information boards around the site but there were tours in front and behind us so we had to keep up. Communication around pick up was via WhatsApp and the coach arrived exactly on time We booked the smaller group and paid a bit extra for it instead of going on a large coach . Our driver was great and very interesting to listen to en route about living and growing up in Poland an Christmas Traditions Would definitely book via Hello Cracow again

5.00Amazing experience, we did an English tour guide they picked us up from a pick up point 6 minutes from where we staying so was very accessible. Very eye opening for those who haven’t been before. Would definitely recommend!
