Good little highlights tour

Great little day trip. Our guide Yuki was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and kind, taking photos for us and giving us restaurant recommendations for near our hotel. The trip itself is smooth and you get to see some great highlights if you have limited time and can't stay in Kyoto. It could be improved with a touch more free time after the bamboo forest to explore the main street. We opted in for the buffet lunch which was ok but not exciting. However there are plenty of food options along the main strip of Arashiyama that were inexpensive and looked very good.

If you only want to visit Kyoto and Nara to see briefly its highlights (not much details and less spots) then this tour is for you. Josh was a very nice guide. There were only 12 of us on this tour which made it better as less people to consider. Downside was in Nara as we couldnt buy cookies for the deers as it already ran out because there were groups of students on field trips. And take note, the deers will ignore you without a cookie. Be sure to buy cookies on the corners first before you start doing anything in the temple.

Nara deer's in a semi wildlife environment were great to watch and interface. Also the tour was well organised apart from the meeting point. They should be more specific about the pick up point, that is which side of in front of the Avanti building ie right or left as it is a wide building. Also Indicate that guides will be in yellow. Few people had issues with this.

We had lots of time at the Nara Park and saw lots of the friendly deer! Do plan for a full day. Hama was our tour guide and she was great. Well worth it!
