Kinkakuji Temple
Kinkakuji Temple is a Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan. Kinkakuji is famous for its stunning architecture, with the top two floors covered in gold leaf and beautifully reflected in the surrounding pond. Originally built in the 14th century as a retreat for Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, the temple was later converted into a temple. The gardens surrounding the temple were also carefully designed in detail to showcase the beauty of the traditional Japanese landscape. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular tourist attraction.
Arashiyama
Arashiyama is a pleasant, natural tourist destination located in the western suburbs of Kyoto. The area has been a popular tourist destination since the Heian period (794-1185), when aristocrats enjoyed its natural surroundings. Arashiyama is especially popular in the fall for its autumn foliage and in the spring for its cherry blossoms. The Togetsu Bridge is the central trend mark of Arashiyama, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the vast river. Near the bridge, there is a boat pier, the famous bamboo grove street, many restaurants, and shopping for even the youngest visitors.

5.00This tour was one of the best decisions for our vacation. We were able to see so much of Kyoto that we did not expect to see in a full day. Riku was a great guide and was knowledgeable of all the sites we visited (Kinkakuji, Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari and Gion). He had plenty of recommendations which included using the rickshaws at Arashiyama and took us to a great sushi spot for lunch that he recommended. The car was clean and the drive was great. He was very accommodating and attentive of our party of 8 which included 2 seniors and 2 young children with strollers. I highly recommend this tour if you have a limited number of days in Kyoto to make traveling between sites easier.

4.00Kyotos temples and shrines are very busy compared to Kamakura. I had a bad cold that day and was glad that Ricci picked us up at the port. He took us to a pharmacy for some medicine on the way from osaka to kyoto. Ricci took us for ramen lunch, it was very nice. The best part of the tour in my opinion was the bamboo forest - we did a rickshaw tour and it was worth every cent as i was not feeling the best. It was not so overcrowded there and the outlook from the bridge was great. We were very tired when we got back to the ship. Ricci did a good job all day and is a safe driver. The alternative of taking the tour from kyoto after train from osaka would also be good if i had been better as it is about an hour and a half by road. Thanks again ricci

5.00Tatsu took us on a full day tour of three of Kyoto’s sites with private transportation and lunch. He was a great guide and knowledgeable as well as a pleasure to spend the day with. Would highly recommend to anyone that would like to do a full day tour of Kyoto without handling the logistics.

5.00Our sightseeing tour with Tatsuya was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! We visited some of Kyoto’s most iconic spots — Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavilion), Arashiyama, the beautiful Bamboo Forest, and Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine — and Tatsuya made each stop come alive with fascinating stories, history, and local insights. His English was excellent, and he was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about every place we visited. Tatsuya made sure we never felt rushed and helped us experience both the famous highlights and some hidden gems along the way. We learned so much and had such a memorable day exploring Kyoto. I can’t recommend this tour — and Tatsuya as a guide — highly enough!

5.00The experience was amazing, I feel like I saw a full beautiful day in Kyoto. The Nara deer were so elegant with the temple. Very powerful to be there Roku was a great host answered all my questions took all the photos and was extremely patient. We had oishii! Lunch An adventure through the bamboo forest with the samurai Sakamoto Ryoma The Toris were also very beautiful at night with the moon!

5.00We spent the day with Riku touring the Golden Temple, Arashiyama Bamboo forest and then the Fushimi Inari gates. We had a wonderful day and got great pictures. Riku made adjustments for my wife’s mobility issue that made the day enjoyable for us both. Definitely recommend

5.00Had a great day with Tatsuya visiting all the sights in Kyoto. He is a wealth of information and was very entertaining. He also went out of his way to assist with a lost phone issue. The day was amazing.

4.00Riku was very responsive to our needs once we hooked up for the trip. We had a great day in Kyoto with Riku driving us around, making arrangements to visit the various sites and sharing some Japanese history and culture with us along the way. A very clean and comfortable car to spend the day in as well as making the most use of our time we had to give Kyoto. Thank you!
