What a fun and tasteful (sic) experience! Educational for sure, but done with great humor and patience, making it an enjoyable experience for anyone at any skill level. Was very much worth the time and was money well spent

Wonderful teacher and teaching assistants not only made it look easy to make apple strudel but did make it easy! I went on my own and was paired up with lovely ladies which meant I didn't feel alone. The ingredients were prepared which made it quick to put together and the instructions were clear. The meal we had while waiting for the strudel to cook was tasty too. Excellent experience if you're in Salzburg!

This is a lovely experience! Making two of the traditional desserts. Both are demonstrated so it’s so easy to follow and make. A friendly supportive environment. While everything bakes, everyone has lunch together. I had the vegetarian lunch, which was delicious and then we all had our Nockerl and a piece of our Apfelstrudel - so don’t eat much before you go! All our Strudel leftovers were then packed up for us to take away. The team are really efficient too - as you bake all the things you no longer need will be collected. All of the fun and none of the washing up!

The strudel and Nockerl making was fun. We also enjoyed meeting new people when we sat down and enjoyed the dishes we made. The host was knowledgeable about the process and well organized. Unfortunately the helper that assisted the main host had no personality and made our experience uncomfortable. She seemed like she hated her job and made no attempt to talk to anyone when providing help. This class could get better reviews and tips if they seemed more interested in their customers and experience .

This baking class was one of the highlights of my trip. It was so fun being able to learn how to make two of the traditional Austrian desserts, and it was nice that they pair you with other groups for one of them so it becomes a bit more interactive. 100% would do it again.

Nice break from touring. Pleasant people that demonstrate then assist. Fun to interact with fellow participants.

When traveling to various places, I like to take part in the cooking classes. This was by far one of my favorites! Jimmy was an excellent instruction and (unlike some other classes I've attended), he really let us do the work! We had so much fun! The goulash served before our strudel was ready was excellent (I would suggest a slice of bread be part of the lunch). The time of 90 minutes was perfect. You are standing a great deal of the time so comfy shoes are a must. Jimmy made the class so enjoyable and did a great job of explaining the steps. I'd do this again!

Visiting the Austrian Apple Strudel Cooking Class in Salzburg with my family turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. We expected a simple cooking lesson, but it became a warm cultural experience filled with delicious food, laughter, and a deeper appreciation for Austrian traditions. The class took place in a cozy and welcoming setting that immediately felt authentic. As soon as we arrived, the aroma of fresh pastries and baked apples filled the room, creating a comforting atmosphere. The instructors were friendly and entertaining, explaining the history of traditional Austrian apple strudel while making everyone feel involved, regardless of cooking experience. One of the highlights was learning how to stretch the dough properly. Watching the instructor turn a small piece of dough into an almost paper-thin sheet was impressive, and trying to do it ourselves led to plenty of funny moments with the family. The process was hands-on from beginning to end, from preparing the apple filling with cinnamon and raisins to rolling the strudel carefully before baking. What made the experience special was how interactive and relaxed it felt. Everyone participated, shared stories, and enjoyed the process together rather than simply watching a demonstration. Even family members who usually do not enjoy cooking had a great time. The instructors kept the atmosphere light with humor and helpful tips, which made the class enjoyable for both adults and children. The included lunch was another pleasant surprise. Alongside the freshly baked strudel, we enjoyed traditional Austrian dishes that felt homemade and comforting. Sitting together after the class, eating warm apple strudel with coffee and talking about the experience, was easily one of the nicest moments of our stay in Salzburg. Beyond the food itself, the class offered a small glimpse into Austrian culture and hospitality. It felt less like a tourist activity and more like spending an afternoon in someone’s kitchen learning a family tradition. By the end, we not only left full and happy, but also with skills and recipes we could recreate at home. Overall, the Austrian Apple Strudel Cooking Class in Salzburg was a wonderful family activity that combined food, culture, and fun in a very authentic way. It is the kind of experience that creates lasting memories long after the vacation ends.
