This activity begins with a visit to a local home in side of Ubud, where you’ll learn how to make canang, a traditional Balinese offering, how to wear balinese traditional costum. After that, you’ll enjoy traditional herbal jamu while also learning how to make it yourself. Once finished, the journey continues to a holy water temple located in the Bangli area, where you’ll find two waterfalls and a natural river stream accompanied by the soothing sound of sacred bells used by the holy men during the purification ritual. After this spiritual experience, you’ll enjoy a traditional Balinese meal, featuring nasi goreng (fried rice) and pepes ikan (fish wrapped in banana leaves), before returning to your hotel.

The rich culture, traditions, and architecture of Bali make it a unique travel destination. The hospitality of its people set it apart! I have visited Bali several times and always find it both intriguing and relaxing. Mr. Wayan and the Atman Bali Journey give a wonderful guidance and insight into the history, practices, and culture of the unique island. Mr. Wayan is funny, hospitable, professional and highly knowledgeable. I can’t recommend Atman Bali Journey enough! It has my highest rating.
Superb experience, so you can learn about the local cultural customs, so you will want to take relatives and friends to experience again.

The first time with the whole family to experience the local culture, so that children can learn to understand and learn to respect different cultures, also let us adults to see the traditional cultural customs of their country, open the eyes, is really a great experience.

We had a wonderful experience! We made traditional offerings and tried various Ayurvedic products. It was both meaningful and relaxing. Wayan is a very kind and engaging host, and his stories made the whole experience even more special. Highly recommended!
