Birdwatching includes binoculars for close-up viewing. The best season to see many flamingos in Celestún is between December and March; the rest of the months there are few, however, other types of local birds can be observed.

This is the first meeting point where we pick up travelers for this tour. Departure from here is punctual at 08:00 am (with a maximum tolerance time of 10 minutes). Later we go to the next meeting point which is the Santa Ana park and we finish at the third meeting point which is the Fiesta Americana hotel. Before leaving Mérida we stop at a store to buy water and snacks for the road. Once we have everyone on board and after making the stop at the store, we begin our journey to the first point of this incredible tour. The time to get to the Celestún mangrove reserve is 1 hour and a half on the road.

Cool tour. We stayed at our daughter (6 years) there and it was great. Have seen flamingos and many more birds right up close. The binoculars included in the price were unfortunately defective on one side. But it wasn't bad because you could see well enough without everything. For children younger than 5 years we would advise against because the boat tour was occasionally a bit rough for a short time. Great experience for us.

excellent trip - great knowledgable and enthusiastic guide Juan - really enjoyed the birds, the boat trip, linch and swim in the sea. At £57 was half the price of other trips and no extra fees and just right

I thoroughly enjoyed the boat tour. Saw flamingos and other birds and wildlife. The boat ride and the Mayan bath were interesting, and lunch was delicious! Our guide was very accommodating! I recommend this trip to anyone!

This tour to Celestun was an excellent day out to experience some of what the Yucatan Peninsula has to offer. The ride on the boats to the nature reserve was very enjoyable and we saw lots of pink flamingos and a huge assortment of other birds too. Our lunch at the beach restaurant was great and the whole tour was very well organised. Highly recommended.

We had a really enjoyable day with our fantastic guide, Raul. He kept us informed about what was happening at each stage of the trip and was very knowledgeable and entertaining throughout! We got really close to a group (flamboyance!) of flamingos and also saw pelicans, herons, cormorants and other birds too. It was nice to relax at the beach afterwards. Would definitely recommend this tour.

This is a great experience. Tony is a built in naturalist and we saw more wildlife than I have ever seen. It was too windy to go on the larger boat so Tony took us out on small boats in the mangrove tunnel.

This was a great day trip from Merida. With a small group van you will go to Celestún, and via boats you will be taken to the places where the flamingos and other animals are at that time. It is a great experience to be able to get so close and get an explanation about these animals. Afterwards you will enjoy a nice lunch on the beach. Overall, great experience.

A very good trip for the price. Time in the mangroves should have been longer, but guides were great. Beach time was just about perfect, food was ok, drinks were very good!
