When this occurs, we will provide guests with an appropriate alternative if the museum opening time is delayed more than 1h from the tour starting time. In these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts. Appropriate dress is required for entry into some sites on this tour. No large bags or suitcases are allowed inside the museum, only handbags or small thin bag packs are allowed through security. Due to increased security measures at many attractions some lines may form on tours with 'Skip the Line' or 'No Wait' access. Some specific rooms inside the museum are subjected to a very quiet or restricted right to speak inside, in this cases your guide will provide the information about this places before entering the specific rooms where this rule applies. Some collections may vary along the year.

Great tour! If you go, ask for Darcy! He was knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time! The 2 hours flew by with him guiding us through all the important things to see. He also offered great suggestions for other things to do.

Free admission. Very easy to navigate. Each room is numbered. We had a nice lunch in the cafeteria style restaurant. Great gift shops. Come on! It's the National Gallery, it's beautiful. The Execution of Lady Jane Grey was a favorite. We booked a 2hr tour to see the highlights, than we stayed for several hours after. I highly recommend a tour of any large museum. In London? Don't miss the National Gallery and the Tate Britain.

This was a fascinating and interesting tour. There is no way I would have been able to enjoy the museum as much as I did without the small group tour. I highly recommend it!!

We toured the British Museum with Jamie from Babylon Tours. He was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable and personable. Took us through the museum in two hours and saw all the high points. I would definitely recommend

I really liked it here. I brought my students to visit and explore the artwork and sculptures — everything was so interesting! There were food stalls, a bookshop, and so many galleries that we couldn’t see them all. This place is fantastic. They even provide free maps to help you explore the different rooms, and the staff are very knowledgeable. We all enjoyed it very much.
Exactly what we were looking for.

Review British Museum London Semi-Private Guided Tour October 29th 2025 Of the tours we took in London, this was the best. We are seniors and considering the size of the Museum our tour guide Ivo maintained a good, unrushed pace. He established instant rapport and we found him to be articulate, knowledgeable and down to earth. Starting with the Rosetta Stone, we saw the highlights of ancient civilizations, Egyptian, Mesopotamia and Greece. Without Ivo we would have wandered around without understanding the chronological facts and the stories behind them. It was exactly what we were looking for. We highly recommend this tour with Ivo because he provides an enjoyable and enriching experience. Edward and Sandra Wolfe
