5.00A one of a kind, must do, food and history tour in Brixton. Obi is the perfect person to lead this tour. He knows so much about the history of the food and the area first hand. One of the best tours we experienced during our two week visit of London. Highly recommend

5.00Obi is a phenomenal person and guide. He is charismatic, knowledgeable and inviting. If anyone else would have been the guide, it would have been a lesser experience. By the end of the tour today, my mind, heart and stomach were full. I felt like I was meeting a long lost family member, who introduced me to more family members! Obi's tour is a must for those who want to not only eat amazing, authentic food, but who want to be connected to the culture and history behind it. I can't wait for the next tour together! 10/10

5.00Of all the touring we did on our first trip to London, the one we find ourselves talking about the most is Obi’s African and Caribbean Food Tour. Mainly because of what we learned and experienced that was much more than any other excursion. Obi’s tour began with his personal history of growing up in Brixton in combination with the political and pop history of the time, which provided a vivid, tangible context. While guiding us through the vibrant mural alleys and art-filled bizarre, he introduced us to unique, one of a kind boutiques that left us feeling privileged to bear witness of their existence. We made it a point to return after the tour to further explore and bring home items that could only have come from there. Of course this was a food tour, but calling it that is an understatement, it was an experience. Obi produced fresh dishes which were the most flavorful and lingering of anywhere we ate on our trip. For each generously portioned sampling, Obi told of its cultural background and the reasoning for the ingredients used in them. It’s a mistake we never thought much about food tours. Obi’s tour proved it is the easiest, most interesting, and informative way to learn about a culture. Obi was personable, accommodating, and inclusive to the varied participants in his intimately sized group. This tour is a must for any foodie and/or cultural inquirer.

5.00This was the best tour I’ve ever been on! Go hungry, the food was incredible, and I left with a much deeper appreciation of Brixton’s history. Obi was hilarious; honestly, he could be a comedian! Fantastic job, Obi!

5.00Obi was so warm and welcoming! He is a wealth of knowledge on all things Brixton and provides so much history about his neighborhood. The way he uplifts the small black owned businesses and supports his community is inspiring! I will definitely be back next time I’m in London, until then I’ll be dreaming about the jollof rice and red pea soup. This tour is an 11/10!

5.00We had an amazing time with Obi at this food tour. We ate well, heard background stories to connect with the place and culture and made new friends. Highly recommend this tour, your taste buds will party! An absolute must-do when you're in London!

5.00CHOOSE THIS TOUR!!!! Obi is the BEST!! He was knowledgeable, friendly and charismatic. His personal insight into the history of Brixton made the experience so much more personal and engaging than normal tours. He picked the perfect spots to taste foods - all of which were delicious! And the final feast was AMAZING!! I couldn’t have asked for more… and not just because my belly was full ;-)

5.00Obi's Brixton Market Tour is absolutely worth it! The tour begins with a fascinating walk through the market, with lots of interesting explanations and delicious samples. We tried various exotic fruits, Jamaican soup, Nigerian pastries, spicy rice, and much more. During the tour, Obi told us a lot about the history of the neighborhood, along with his equally exciting family story. His father emigrated to England from Nigeria, his mother from Jamaica. Obi himself was born in Brixton, grew up here, and experienced the changes of the past decades firsthand. The combination of history and food was simply fantastic; I haven't experienced anything like it on any other tour. Following the tour, we enjoyed a full meal at a Jamaican restaurant, where our group of five shared various dishes, allowing us to try a wide variety of dishes. Overall, highly recommended!

5.00Obi was in a word… fantastic!! His deep passion and sharp knowledge for his hometown of Brixton made the experience even more heartfelt and special. This was a great escape combining history, culture, and great foods. Obi made his guests feel like family. And he is clearly respected in his community. Come with an empty stomach as there is much to eat. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Already planning to do this again on my next visit and with friends. Very highly recommended!
