We had an amazing experience with Samuel! He picked us up, and took us to a market where we got a snack and refreshments before picking up some fresh seafood and chicken for our lesson. We then went to his home where he has a great teaching setup on the main floor. He did a great job answering our questions, explaining the why behind the process of our dishes, and making everything easy to understand. We made the best Kung Pao Chicken we have ever had along with some fried rice and prawn noodle soup. We ate until we were completely stuffed and then he took us back to our hotel. It was a great experience in Penang and I can’t wait to go home and cook the dishes on my own!

From the moment of booking, we were contacted by Samuel with an extensive list of dishes varying from Nyonya, Chinese, Malay, Indian & Street Food. We chose some dishes that you don’t come across very often & glad we did. Samuel had passion for his recipes & wanted to pass on his expertise to us. He talked us through all steps and left us to carry on with supervision. We enjoyed eating all we made, but so much food! Make sure you are hungry beforehand!

Chef Samuels cooking class was so much fun! From the moment we booked the class he communicated extremely well. Instead of a set menu we were sent an extensive list of dishes and we picked the ones that interested us the most. On the day of our class Chef Samuel picked us up promptly from our hotel in Georgetown. We went to a day market which was unlike any experience we’ve had back home. At the market we grabbed a snack and he introduced us to delicious foods we’d never heard of before. From there we went to his studio to start cooking. The class was informative and not only did we learn new culinary skills but Chef Samuel was encouraging, funny and considerate. When we finished cooking we were able to experience our creations in a private dining room before we were driven back to our hotel. It was a wonderful afternoon and we would highly recommend this experience!
