Not only will you be following in the footsteps of gladiators, you’ll also get a 360° panorama from where it was possible to see all 50,000 bloodthirsty spectators with a brilliantly executed narrative from a passionate guide.
After your guided Colosseum tour, you’ll head past the Arch of Constantine and into the Roman Forum.
You’ll never be a number in a small group of only 12 people or fewer. This Colosseum Tour allows for the personal attention you won’t find with larger groups.

Please bring a valid ID document (no photocopies!) for each participant - documents will be checked and they must match the names on the voucher.
The final start time of the tour might be updated up to a week in advance as there can be some changes for logistical reasons.
Please plan on being at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start time.
We are unable to accommodate late arrivals as we have a time entrance to respect. Missed tours due to late arrivals are non-refundable. Please allow extra time to reach the meeting point as Rome's streets can be confusing.

Following your exclusive Colosseum tour, we'll visit the adjacent triumphal arch – a towering masterpiece in white marble, which brims with intriguing details. Emperor Constantine had the monument erected in 315 AD to commemorate his victory over Maxentius a few years earlier – a battle he claimed to have won with the help of Christ himself. Despite his assertion, there are no Christian symbols in the arc. Instead, there are statues of Dacian prisoners and reliefs picturing Marcus Aurelius giving bread to the poor. The inside of the arch shows Emperor Trajan’s victory over the Dacians.

5.00Our guide John made the tour of the Colosseum a fantastic experience for both my wife, a previous visitor and for me a first time visitor. His knowledge of the buildings and history of the Roman Empire gave us insights into the site that we would never have experienced had we made the visit on our own. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in the history of one of the most fascinating places in Rome.

The tour covers all the main highlights, and our guide, Vasco, presented the Colosseum in a fascinating way that really helped us visualize it. 5.00We were, unfortunately, a few minutes late for the tour. They called to make sure we were coming, and did wait for us. (Had trouble getting out of a restaurant.) The tour was very good - though - once again - it went much longer than the time listed in the description. Three and a half hours in, we were heading for the next stop. Three of us were exhausted as we had flown in the day before and had toured all day. Guide gave us an opportunity to leave, and we did so. My husband stayed and enjoyed the finish very much. Very knowledgeable guide with LOTS to share. For those of us with less capacity for all those dates and history, a shorter version would have been fine. However, certainly nothing wrong with anything that was done. - Just our personal preference. And when tours go over the listed time, it is hard to plan out the day.
Definitely worth it! The ONLY way to see the Coliseum

5.00Manuela was a great guide. Being a former archeologist, she could speak about the Colosseum and Palatine Hill with an archeologist's insight. The whole tour was fascinating. I would definitely do it again.
