Walking will allow us to fully experience the city in its truest form, getting a better sense of the people who live and work a normal life outside of tourism. Hearing the music that we listen to, smelling the food we enjoy eating after a long day of work, tasting the refreshing hoppy treat we drink to catch up with friends, seeing the people who make this city what it is through the perseverance and tenacity, making you feel what we feel when we say Tijuana. 3.00There seemed to be a few hiccups in the details. We received a call about 30 minutes before from our tour guide who was supposed to arrive on the US side to escort us to Tijuana; she let us know she was in line for 2 hours and not near the US side so we had to cross the border ourselves. It wasn't difficult but because of that, it took people who were coming on the tour longer to get to the Mexico side and we ended up having to stand in the HOT sun for about 30 minutes which wasn't fun. It seems this is a common issue based on other reviews and I think the company should plan better for this and change how the tour is described. Once we got going it was then going smoothly. Our first stop was a tequila tasting. I'm not a fan of this but however I was fine to do the tasting, we seemed to take a long time doing that and a few other members agreed we were there too long. We kind of felt it lagged because they wanted us to buy more alcohol. I would have rather seen more shops where we were. After that we went to a candy shop which was nice and we tasted a chili mango which was really good. Then we went for lunch. we had 2 blue corn tacos. The beef tacos were very good, the chicken did not taste like much. After that we had free time and then the tour went back for another tequila tasting. I really wanted to see more of the local markets. When the tour was over we went back and had to stand in line for 2 hours to get to the US side. I think the company should make it clear that this is normal to stay in line that long when they advertise it. My husband and i have taken many tours with Viator and never was disappointed before.

5.00An absolutely wonderful day trip! We loved tasting the local cuisine and sampling the tequila. The experience was truly elevated by our guide, Carlos, whose deep knowledge of local history was impressive. It was a fantastic day, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone

5.00This was a very enjoyable tour. Andrés on the San Diego side provided information on the procedures for joining the tour with Carlos on the Tijuana side. I would suggest adding the phrase “Meet in front of the McDonalds” on the San Diego side. Carlos gave a very informative and fun-facts tour of Tijuana. We visited iconic historical places in town, including markets, bars, and cathedral. A couple of common and unusual alcoholic tastings were included. We enjoyed a lunch at a hidden restaurant that was definitely not on any tourist list, but the food was outstanding and definitely worth a return visit. All in all, it was a wonderful way to spend some time in Tijuana with very knowledgeable advice from a Tijuana native like Carlos, a very personable guide.
Lovely people, tasty food and rich culture.

5.00It was a good introduction to Tijuana and there were some fun activities scheduled. The tour guide Marissa was very nice. We did it cause we were a bit scared of crossing over into Tijuana and it made us comfortable if we ever do it on our own.

5.00I really enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide Tadeo, was knowledgeable and guided us through with no issues. Learning about the culture, historical sites, and seeing the various shops was such an amazing experience.

4.00Nice tour but also a lot of waiting. It should have been nice to see little bit more of historical buildings etc. The Taco tasting was a good experience. Tequila tasting consisted a little bit of the same flavors in both places.
