Join your one hour Daintree River cruise offering two different departure points along a twelve kilometre stretch of the river. This gives you the best opportunities to see wildlife and the diversity of this amazing eco system.

Suitable for all physical fitness levels

Collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them board and disembark. Cruise from Daintree Village Jetty only suitable.

Extra cruises are free for up to 30 days. *Daintree Explorer Pass is free and subject to seat Fare paying passengers on their first cruise are given priority on seat availability. Second cruise *free passengers are welcome to return on a later cruise date for up to 30 days. Proof of identity and Crocodile Express Pass is required on all passengers travelling on 'extra cruise'.

Crocodile Express Daintree River Cruises

One hour cruises depart regularly from both Daintree Village as well as from Daintree Gateway which is located 200 meters before Daintree River Ferry Crossing. This gives visitors the best opportunities to see wildlife and the diversity of this amazing eco system. From rainforest to mangroves the scenery is spectacular. The Upper Daintree section from Daintree Village is especially popular for bird watching and departures from near the Daintree River Ferry Crossing (Daintree Gateway) offers spectacular views of Thornton Peak, rainforest and mangroves. Please note your first cruise will depart from Daintree Village, Check-in is at Daintree Tourist Information Centre located in Daintree Village. Times listed above are from Daintree Village Only. All extra bonus cruises can depart from either Daintree Village or from near Daintree Ferry river crossing. Look for the big Croc Head Kiosk. Cruise times available from near the ferry will be advised on check-in in the village.

Wonderful boat ride, saw some crocs and wild birds. Guide was knowledgeable and very good at spotting things. Ride was even longer than promised.

The conditions weren't ideal for Crocodile spotting but the captain managed to spot a beautiful female on the bank as well as a snake in a tree. Very informative and thoroughly recommend. We also booked for a 2pm cruise but we're delayed. We called up and was switched to 3.30pm without any issues.

Brilliant value experience to see crocodiles in the wild! We did both tours and personally preferred the Daintree village one, as Neil was a great guide and with there being 6 of us on the boat, it felt a lot more personal. The other one unfortunately had a huge coach load of people on it and we felt quite packed in and due to all their talking we couldn't hear Jet very well, despite him also being a great guide! We saw around 4 crocs on each tour, plus a couple of tree snakes and interesting birds. Would definitely recommend, but would say to go in the afternoon to avoid the coach trips. Thanks guys!

What a cracking day on the river! We kicked things off with a cruise through the upper river, then followed it up with a spin down the lower stretch. The absolute highlight? Getting up close and personal with the local legend himself—Scarface. The guides were full of fun facts (and a few cheeky jokes), making the whole experience both educational and entertaining. Couldn't wipe the grin off our faces—top day out!

The tour was great to see crocs. Very knowledgeable guide who showed us things we wouldn't have spotted. Only downside was the boat before us was late by 15 mins and we arrived right back on time so the tour was only really 45mins.

We did both cruises (upper and lower daintree) and both were great! Our guides Neil and Jet were very knowledgeable and showed us a lot of crocs, including week-/month-old hatchlings, juveniles, females of different ages and scarface, a beautiful male.

Such a great tour! Saw 6 crocs. The big alpha males, lady crocs and young babies! Jed shared such great stories about them all and knew so many cool facts about crocs! Would highly recommend this tour.

It was a relatively spur of the moment decision to take this tour - I had spent the day at Mossman Gorge, and just had enough time to make it for the last tour of the day. Jed is an extremely knowledgeable guide, very down to earth and happy to answer questions. I was less interested in the crocodiles than the rainforest and surrounds before I took the tour, but found myself hanging on to Jed’s every word - and every croc or bird he pointed out. Surpassed my expectations, and then some. So glad that I made the effort! Looking forward to doing the upper Daintree cruise on Friday (included as part of the ticket price).

We went on both cruises, at different locations along the river, and with the same boat operator, Neil, and glad of it too as he was very informative and friendly. Saw several alpha male crocodiles in their native environment along with other wildlife. There was Scarface who was about 90 and Dumpy in the 60-70 age bracket. Glad I was in the boat and not swimming in the same waters. Would recommend this tour as it was everything you would want in a crocodile tour, including the very young crocodiles who do not have a high rate of survival. Each tour takes about an hour and you reach land knowing you have experienced something great.
