It was a lovely day: it didn't rain, the fog was magic, the landscape was stunning and I don't regret going on this lovely trip. I took the cable car, so it was hard to estimate how much time it would take me, but I made it right on time. The hike is quite challenging given how hot and humid it has been these days, but I recommend it nevertheless. Lucia the guide was very friendly and generous. I wish we had more time so that I could take my time and just admire the landscape. It would have been useful to have some guidance regarding the rituals/habits/gestures that are appropriate at the temples. Regardless, it was a lovely experience! 감사합니다!

I think that the guide was good, but he could have provided more information to the group about the sites.

Definitely worth it. Byoung Ho Han was an excellent guide, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He walked us through parts of the Naksana Temple and the park at Seoraksan, supplying key information and some fun trivia. He spoke in English and repeated everything again in Chinese, so tri-lingual. We spent all of our time at Seoraksan up the cable car and exploring the mountain peak. The views are gorgeous and worth the hike. My kids loved it and my 84 year old mom also made the hike up. Despite being in the 90s, the higher elevation gave us cooler temperatures and a pleasant breeze. Naksana Temple was amazing as well, with great history being a temple of a Bodhisattva. The views off of the ocean are gorgeous as well with the impressive temple situated off the east shore. The drive is as follows: 2.5 hrs to Seoraksan, 20 mins to Naksana, then 2.5 hrs back. The bus picks up and drops off at 2-3 stops depending on the passengers, but it didn’t seem to add too much to the trip. The longer rides have a rest stop in between to grab snacks and use the bathroom. Additionally, you can leave belongings on the bus that you don’t want to hike around with. Meals are not included but there are ample opportunities to grab lunch, and we got back at 19:20, early enough to have dinner back in Seoul. There is a group chat where our guide Mr Han and the group can all communicate with each other, which is helpful. All in all, highly recommended!!

Lia our tour guide was great. The bus driver was extremely nice too. Well worth the trip to both locations.
