This is a walking tour. Guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulty.
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or with wheelchairs, or strollers.
The special access passage between the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica is closed on Wednesdays and is subject to other unexpected closures during special celebrations/festivities, including the Easter ceremonies. On such days we will offer a more in-depth tour of the Museums.
All guests (including children) must bring ID on the day of their tour.
Due to the religious nature of the Vatican, all individuals regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees. Walks cannot be held responsible for those denied entry.
Please note: starting December 2024, access to St. Peter's Basilica may be limited due to the Vatican's Jubilee Year 2025, which includes special events and ceremonies. These closures are determined by the Vatican and are beyond our control. Thank you for your understanding.
The full names of all participants must be provided at the time of booking and must match the names on the ID/Passport. Name changes are not permitted.

2.00I was very disappointed with this advertisement. Although it’s marketed as the “Pristine Sistine” experience, you only get the early or after-hours tour if you book a specific morning slot or one of two afternoon slots. They let you book any time under the “Pristine Sistine” name, but don’t be misled like we were—booking this does not guarantee a quieter, less chaotic visit to the Vatican Museums. Several in our group questioned the guide on this very question - and the response was we have to wait in line like everyone else. Save your money or make sure to get the applicable times to avoid the crowds. No refunds - just you’re a sucker because you didn’t read the fine print!

5.00I can’t believe that we almost decided to cancel this tour! Wow, even as non Catholics, this tour completely mesmerized us. What made this tour incredible was of course the art and history itself, but we wouldn’t have been able to comprehend any of it without our tour guide’s exceptional guidance. Mikele was outstanding — he is not only extremely knowledgeable, but he communicates information in a calm and digestible manner. All our tour guides in Italy were great, but Mikele is clearly in his own league. I would highly recommend this tour especially under his guidance. And the cherry on top is that we were lucky enough to be able to see everyone! I say lucky because we heard about closures every other day including the previous day so I’m glad everything was open.

5.00This tour was a perfect way to see the Vatican museums, Sistine chapel, and St. Peter's basilica. Having a guide through the museums and Sistine chapel are a must, as much of the interpretations and stories of the artworks and artists cannot be gained without their knowledge. There is just too much to see if you were to try visiting on your own. Also, with this tour, we were able to avoid the super long lines to enter these sites. Of the 15+ guides we had over our time in Italy, Lia from this tour was head and shoulders above the rest. She was able to corral and lead our group through the hoards of other people without any problems. She was able to connect with us personally and bring each moment alive as she explained all of it.

5.00Rebecca with LivTours did an outstanding job touring the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. There were 6 of us - family ages 21-59. We booked the early private tour which allowed skipping lines which was important due to the crowds. Rebecca was super knowledgeable, very courteous, punctual. Definitely would highly recommend.

1.00We have used the Viator app for many tours. This company sells through Viator but doesn’t use the app for logistics or communication . This company does not make the meeting location clear. The Viator app only shows the entire Vatican square as the “End location” when you click for the meeting point. All we had to go on. So we raced around the massive square trying to find our operator to no avail. None of the other operators had even heard of this flighty company. We tried desperately to contact them through the app and received no responses. We missed the tour and were told we would not receive a refund. Viator said the operator had declined it so that’s it. They have our money to fix their communication issues now. AWFUL experience. Are you selling through Viator? Use the Viator app! Show the meeting location! Can’t do that? Answer contact requests ESPECIALLY right as the tour is starting and 2 people haven’t shown up! When it all falls apart? Offer a refund! You have let the customer down and forced them to miss a once in a lifetime opportunity.

5.00The pristine Sistine chapel tour was great. The only issue is that we paid to get in early to avoid the crowds and THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. Don’t false advertise to make more money.

5.00Laura was an awesome tour guide. I am happy I chose the evening because of the amount of people that attend. It’s not as crowded as it would’ve been during the day. What an amazing site to see all of this wonderful collections of history. Make sure to take time and enjoy the Sistine chapel didn’t expect it to be a big room, but it was crowded of people but eventually they start moving out.
