Renting an e-bike with Bay Bikes is an experience. It's about giving you a sense of freedom, enjoying the outdoors, and making everlasting memories together.

We provide an accessible activity suitable for all ages and strive to give all our customers an unforgettable experience.

Our fat tyre e-bikes are unique because of their looks, they are 2-person bikes, and the throttle adds that little bit of extra fun to ride them. The bikes are easy to ride for miles on end. You can easily take a child on the back, which makes it very suitable for families as well. It is an amazing experience for all ages, it gives you a bit of a feeling of riding a motorbike.

We are located right next to the bike path along the beach, it's safe and you will enjoy beautiful views of the Bay. Bay Bikes offers a unique way of exploring Melbourne, it is absolutely fun to do, you will see Melbourne from a different perspective and it's a one-of-a-kind activity.

You can choose how long and where you want to go. We offer 1 or 2 hours, half-day, and full-day options. 1 hour gives you enough time to enjoy the ride and views. You can explore locally around our shop, like the Brighton Bathing Boxes. If you would like to hop off your bike every now and then, we recommend going for the 2-hour, half-day, or full-day option. On our website, you can find a handy Booking Guide and inspiration (with duration) so you can choose the rental period that suits you. We offer handy and fun additional add-ons as well if you want to make your experience extra relaxed and special. For example, beach bats, Uno Splash, a cooler bag, or GoPro You can find the whole range on our website.

We went for a 2 hour bike ride down to Elwood for lunch and back . So amazing, safe and such friendly staff. 100% recommend for kids .

I can not speak highly enough of Jan & Odette at Bay Bikes! They were absolutely beyond amazing to deal with from start to finish of the e-bike rental, & that's aside from the fantastic experience of the e-bike itself! These guys genuinely go above and beyond to ensure the absolute best experience is had, which is reflected in everything from their very friendly and extremely efficient service, down to the actual products themselves. My 4 year old son and I had an absolute blast riding the DiroDi e-bike! It was our first time but will most definitely be returning! More than highly recommended this family business, and doubt i will ever receive the level of customer service & courtesy these guys provided! Thanks so much for a fantastic & memorable experience!

Very welcoming received by the -Dutch- landlord. Gave clear explanation of routes and highlights in the neighborhood. Excellent instruction on the operation of the E-bike/fatbike. Are top bikes in new condition by the way. Highly recommended!

What a brilliant fun day. Totally exceeded all of our expectations. We picked up the bikes, and after a very warm welcome and briefing from Odette, we headed north. Stopping off at the Dendy beach boxes for a coffee and the mandatory photo taken in front of the Oz flag beach box, we continued on through to Middle Brighton, Elwood and finally St Kilda, where the Latin-American food festival was in full swing. There’s always so much interesting stuff going on in St Kilda. We had arranged the day to give our overseas visitor a sample of the local area. But it was an eye opener even for us locals. So much we hadn’t seen before. Right on our doorstep. Can’t recommend Bay Bikes highly enough. Great service, and the bikes were a dream. Helmets so comfortable and clean, bikes spotless and so easy to use, and everything so stylishly put together. We won’t be waiting for another visitor to give us the excuse to go back.

Lovely family run business. Super friendly. Excellent quality bikes. Solid and safe. Cool helmets and strong secure bike locks included. E-bikes fully charged, looked new and clean. Quick and easy response via WhatsApp. Option to cancel if weather conditions are poor. Just an online form to sign prior to arrival. Located close to coastal bike bath. Offered route recommendations and information on places to visit. Easy return. It rained shortly after our rental so we spent most of our time in a cafe hiding from the rain! The lovely family offered us the chance to return another time to redo our hire 😊 Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
