Please note that access to the Terraces requires climbing 150 steps (no lift) through narrow passages. The height of the Terraces is 30 meters (98 feet).

Sandals, shoes with heels and flip-flops, slippers, and clogs, as well as shorts or skirts above the knees are not allowed inside the Cathedral. Please bring a scarf to cover up before entering.

Children under the age of 7 are not allowed on the Duomo Terraces for safety reasons. Youth ages 7-18 must be accompanied by an adult to climb the Terraces.

The Baptistery is currently undergoing restoration of the vault's mosaics.

Please note that backpacks of any size, as well as luggage or large bags, are not allowed.

Clients must arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour. This is due to the timed entry of the tickets.

It is not possible to join the tour after it has commenced.

Tips/gratuities (for your guide) are always appreciated.

This tour is not suitable for pregnant women, those with heart conditions, dizziness, or claustrophobia, as well as individuals with mobility impairments or wheelchair users.

It was interactive and fun. Elena was very thorough and lively. We were able to ask questions. We can ask as many questions as we wanted and Elena was very knowledgeable. And the skip the line was the best.

A wonderful tour starting at the Opera del Duomo learning about the construction and development of this beautiful cathedral. Our guide then took us to the Baptistry (undergoing construction) and then inside the cathedral to marvel at its scale, the painted dome and its tiled floor which when seen from up above is an amazing optical illusion. We climbed up and out onto the 2 roof terraces which was a unique and memorable experience enjoying a close up view of the dome and magnificent views of the rooftops of the city and beyond. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and full of passion for her beautiful city.

My husband and I booked this tour last minute and I’m so glad we were able to get a spot. It was a small group and our guide was very informative. The exclusive terrace access was the highlight of our Italy vacation! The view was just stunning and the whole experience of going up to the terrace and walking around the perimeter was unforgettable. Highly recommend this tour!!

Tour was scheduled at 10:00am and we were not notified of any changes. We showed up at the meeting point 10 minutes early, and no one was there. After contacting the operator, we were notified that the tour was moved to 9:00am, even though we had received 10:00am vouchers at 8:50am. We were asked if we could do the tour another time, but we already had other plans. Instead, we ended up booking tickets through the Duomo website and waited nearly 2 hours to get in. Although the money was refunded, this caused us to spend an entire morning on the Duomo and the museum instead of the planned two hours, so we did not get to see as much of the city. Changing tour times last minute is a horrible business practice, especially with no communication received. If these last minute changes happen, then they need to confirm with the client the new time is acceptable instead of assuming everything is arranged.
