Doan Khue was our guide on MeKong Delta tour. She was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. We got to experience the Vietnamese culture and the way of life in small towns. We tasted freshly caught fish and fruit for lunch. We learned the people are so good at never wasting plants and their fruit. Especially the coconut. The demonstrations of how they used all the parts of the coconut was educational and fun. We enjoyed being on the river and seeing the island she grew up in with her family. I would highly recommend her.

This was a great experience for my friend and I. It's not a glamorous tour, or one that compares to Halong Bay or Ayutthaya in Thailand, but it allows you to experience how people live in the area. We booked the tour a few weeks in advance, but there was a hitch, and the group actually forgot to pick us up. We had been waiting at our hotel for about an hour and a half, the hotel called them a few times for us, and finally we were picked up we found out later from other guests that they were halfway out of town and had to turn around for us. Our guide, pronounced Hi, was very pleasant and had a great sense of humor. He shared stories and the history of the area with us, and answered all of our questions with a smile.
