Ensure a manta ray sighting on this 2.5-hour night tour. Head out in Kona, one of the best places in the world to see mantas, to see the sunset over the water before jumping in to enjoy swimming with manta rays in their underwater nighttime realm. "Manta safari" guides escort you around the site with a mobile light show that attracts these gentle and fascinating creatures. Relax on the observation deck with unobstructed viewing and plenty of room to move around. All snorkel equipment, including swimming noodles and wetsuits are included.

Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.

Collapsible-wheelchair accessible—if assistance is required, passenger must provide their own assistant.

Please note the departure time throughout the year adjusts to the sunsetting sky. Jan 1- March 31 departure time is 5:30PM and 8:30pm April 1- September 31 departure time is 6PM and 9pm, October 1- December 31 departure time is 5PM and 8pm. You will be placed where there is availability. Please call 24 hours prior to confirm departure time.

Depart from the Honokohau Harbor heading to Manta site. Enjoy a leisurely ride. The mantas are peaceful and mesmerizing. This is a family friendly event. Basic swimming experience is required to participate in the snorkeling activities. There is a "Ride Along" option (Non Swimming) should you wish to stay on the boat. We provide snorkel, mask, wetsuit jacket, swimming noodles for flotation; snacks & bottled water beverages included. There are life jackets on board yet they are NOT for snorkeling. If you require additional flotation vests, you may purchase your own snorkel vest in our store. Please note that Hawaii is a chain of 7 islands. Please make sure you are booking on the appropriate island. We are located on the big island of Hawaii in Kailua Kona. Refunds will NOT be authorized once you are out of the 24 hour cancellation policy. It is the customers responsibility to understand what island they are booking this trip on. Please note, should the wildlife NOT cooperate we do invite you back again for free. We do not in any way offer discounts or refunds. We do NOT provide RX snorkeling masks. You will need to provide your own should you need this.

Rassan, Maddie, Josh and Ehu did a great job with my private group of 30 people. They displayed the perfect balance of fun and safety. The water was a little rough that day but we still saw mantas and lots of fish! 100% recommend.
I can't find the words to describe how incredible this was.

To have a waterproof case so you can take video with your phone. Bring warm clothes for after, you get bone chilling cold floating in the water that long.

Fee was on par with other outfitters ($130 per person) The ride was not too long from the docks (35 mins). Staff were extremely kind and snorkel gear was in good shape. The boat was no frills but completely adequate for our group of 20. The only snacks were some granola bars, cookies, bags of chips, and fruit snacks. They did have water bottles. SUP’s used for floating were pretty janky and definitely home made but they did the job. Other more fancy boats were nearby but old boat or new, we all had the same experience.

The team was friendly and very professional. The boat is not to big or small giving us more 1 on 1 service, it also allowed us to have a quick sidetrip to see Whales and Dolphins. My wife was not sure about getting into the water but the crew spent time with her and ensured she felt safe. A fun trip.

The crew and experience was fabulous! Took time in explaining the Kona coast and time to see dolphins on the way. Exhilarating in seeing the Manta Ray up close! Must see tour!

Great experience seeing Manta Ray do back roll. Awesome experience for the family, my kids really enjoy. My wife did not g becuase she couldn't swim, but anyone can go.

They clearly prioritize volume and profit over the experience. We were packed in like sardines and rushed through everything. Once we got to the water, it felt like pure chaos — basically “get in and figure it out.” The setup didn’t feel professional. The “light rig” was essentially surfboards tied together with what looked like a car battery powering a bright light. You’re expected to hang on and balance with a pool noodle between your legs, but instructions were minimal and unclear. With so many people crammed in close, it felt unsafe and stressful instead of calm and enjoyable. The captain was unprofessional, and the crew showed up late — it was obvious they were coming straight from another snorkel trip. Even though the trip time was supposed to start later, they were late getting to us and then pushed everyone into the water early. The whole thing felt like a rushed turnaround operation. Basic customer care was missing too. About half the boat was seasick, and they didn’t provide vomit bags or buckets. Their “solution” was telling people to vomit over the side. Snacks were disappointing (Rice Krispies treats). One more concern: I watched them “sanitize” snorkel/scuba gear and it looked like they just washed the mouthpieces with baby shampoo between groups — gear that had just been used by the people before us. If you decide to go anyway, I strongly recommend bringing your own snorkel gear. The manta rays themselves were amazing to see, but unfortunately the experience was completely overshadowed by the overcrowding and disorder. If you want this to be a fun, relaxing, once-in-a-lifetime memory, I’d skip this company and choose a more professional operator.

What an incredible adventure! Seeing the manta rays up close belly to belly was phenomenal and the highlight of our trip. There were 3 manta rays that came swimming by us and putting on an incredible show. Our tour guides were amazing! Super friendly and knowledgeable. 10/10! Would definitely book another tour through this company.

It was amazing the crews made it so much better than expected. We switched from another tour and so glad we did it. I was scared and not a great swimmer and they were so helpful and it made feel more comfortable. I highly recommend these guys price was good and the water and snacks were a plus.
