  ⭐ 1/5 – Extremely Disappointing and Unacceptable Service Our experience with VAT Group was absolutely unacceptable. The driver Daniel couldn’t wait just 2 minutes for elderly passengers who were delayed due to a major accident on the Monash Freeway — something completely out of anyone’s control. We stayed in constant communication with him, updating arrival times and explaining the traffic situation clearly, yet he showed zero empathy or understanding. What makes it worse is that the driver actually left right in front of the elderly passengers, who were crossing the road to reach the pickup spot. Watching a tour driver abandon senior citizens like that was shocking, disrespectful, and deeply unprofessional. No company that provides transport services — especially for tours involving older people — should treat customers this way. VAT Group failed in basic decency and duty of care. I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking with them.

  William was a 10/10 as a tour guide. He was very attentative to his passengers and kept a warm friendly composure throught the entire journey. His passion for what he does comes through making the experience enjoyable.

  The driver and the tour guide is the same person. This means that since they need to focus on the road, they are unable to give as much context about the areas etc. He also waited for us in the bus. This is fine if you just want someone to drive you without context, however I was under the impression that I was going to be given a full detailed tour. Additionally (and I assume this is the exception and not the rule) our bus did break down in the middle of nowhere and we were delayed by ~2.5 hours (our arrival time back in the CBD was 10.40PM when we were meant to return back by 7-8PM) as we needed to wait for a new bus. Once the new bus driver arrived, Leon (our original tour guide/driver) was able to focus on being a tour guide only and he was very good. He also took us to see kangaroos and a koala which was very exciting and a highlight. The sights on the tour were extremely beautiful, and I highly recommend Great Ocean Road in general. Due to the bus breaking down, I requested a 50% refund and was granted it. That said, if I could go again, I would probably go with a smaller tour bus, as you spend less time waiting for people (at rest stops, etc). This is a big bus (holds 51 people) so there is a LOT of time spent waiting.

  Fantastic scenery, very well organised. We visited several siges including the 12 Apostles. Lots of breaks for refreshments and toilet stops. Tony was informative and drove safely.

  This trip was very pleasant, the director who met this time was William, who cared about us all during the process and tried to help with any questions. One of the excursions was to see wild bears, and William helped us find nearby bears on the side of the road, so it was a very touching experience to observe wild animals so close.   There is ample time at each stop and you can use all the time or go back to the bus to rest. Jack, the guide and bus driver made sure that everyone was back at every stop before leaving. I was impressed that there was a grace period during the pick up too. Recommended to layer up as it is very windy and cold, preferably with a jacket with a hood and/or hat, even gloves if you get cold easily. There is a stop for the toilet and breakfast before the attractions. Jack did a good job of commentary (English and Chinese) with some dry humour while driving a big bus which was not easy. Bring snacks as lunch was late.

  Only had a short time to explore the Melbourne region. Well run trip, Ray knows his stuff and has some good tips to get the most of the stops. Coach is not new and shiny, but does the job and both the aircon and heating work! It is a long trip, and the ocean road is very bendy. We got see koalas and kangaroos!
