Haleakala is known for rapidly changing weather conditions and dense clouds and rain are common. As a result, clear viewing of the sunrise is not guaranteed, and the tour operates rain or shine. Refunds will be granted only when the tour is cancelled for safety reasons.
The high altitude at the summit area may complicate health conditions and breathing difficulties. Elderly visitors, pregnant women, young children, and those with respiratory or heart conditions should consult their doctor prior to touring. Walk slowly and drink water to avoid dehydration. If you have gone scuba diving, you should wait at least 72 hours before going on this tour.

3.00Ordinary food mostly from Deli section of the supermarket. Cold food with no taste. They take 4 hrs to complete 1.5 hrs trip to the top due to multiple stops on the way. Shuttle does not go the summit, get ready for 0.3 miles hike to the crater. The return trip is more cumbersome as we need to change the shuttle in the mid way.

1.00Overpriced for what is advertised Dinner is sandwich to go from the local restaurant The driver had an attitude from the beginning He should not work in hospitality with such a temper Also needed to change a bus at the end of the trip It would be much cheaper and better experience just to drive there by rental car

4.00Very good experience. Their driver was very entertaining. He was also a very safe ride up and ride down. The food from Kula Lodge was also delicious! Unfortunately the he weather did not cooperate. It was very cloudy so we did not see the sunset.

4.00The driver was knowledgeable about the culture and history of Haleakala. The meal was great and the experience once we reached the top was great. At the onset of the tour, after getting picked up at our hotel in Lahaina, we went to a secondary meeting location so that we could merge into one group. My only complaint is that we waited at this location for over an hour. They turned off the shuttle and it was 85 degrees so very hot. It was so windy it was difficult to stand outside. We were at a Safeway but we were never sure when the other shuttle was arriving so we didn’t want to venture off. It is already a long day, maybe there is a way to time this part of the tour a bit better.

5.00This was an last minute plan for us and we didn't regret it. Randall (I hope i got your name right) was a great host. He drove us to the top skillfully while sharing his knowledge and his personal experiences of growing up in Maui. We enjoyed the sunset at 10,000 ft atop haleakala while having dinner. The crater wasn't visible due to cloud/ fog but we enjoyed the views despite that.
