Macorix House of Rum
Macorix House of Rum is a historical museum of the Ron Family Macorix was born in 1899 by the Carrión family from the town of San Pedro de Macorís, a place considered by many to be the land of poets, artists and sugar cane. 110 years later, Ron Macorix became part of the Vinícola del Norte family of the port city of Puerto Plata, uniting two emblematic rum-producing towns in the Dominican Republic.

4.00Guide was great knowledgeable helpful. The tour was great. The confirmation of the pick up time was confirmed at 5 pm the night before! Very difficult to plan your day. Would not book for that reason

5.00A very enjoyable tour. Aribel was a very welcoming and knowledgeable tour guide, treating the 7 of us in our group like family. As someone on the tour solo it was also nice that he offered to take my picture at a couple spots. In addition to published stops, he also explained more about how locals lived, history, etc. Would highly recommend this tour!

4.00Well it started out wrong. We had to make several calls to Viator because our tour guides had not shown up after waiting for over 30 minutes. Once the replacement guide showed up, he was great. The tour of the town was amazing.

5.00The tour guy Yeury was on time and waiting for us. We had an elderly person with us and they were super attentive to her. They were very informative and the vehicle was very comfortable for 8 people. Got to see all the tour highlights and even took us to lunch after the tour was over.

5.00This was a fantastic tour. Our guide Aribel was amazing. He was so friendly and showed us so much more than we expected. He also walked around umbrella st with us and took pictures. We can't say enough about the tour and Aribel. Highly recommend this tour.

5.00Leury was a perfect gentleman to the poor women on his tour. He ensure everyone’s comfort and the Van and during the tour assisting people on and off and making sure that even our elder passengers were very comfortable he was a fantastic guide! The Day tour of Puerto Plata was the highlight of our trip to the Dominican Republic thus far! It was so fun being a tourist for a day having the opportunity to go out and visit Umbrella Street, the Amber Museum, Del Ora chocolate factory, Paseo de Dora Blanca, and the MACORIX HOUSE of RUM factory. It was a fun and educational experience!

5.00We had an incredible time on our half-day city tour in Puerto Plata! Leury was an awesome guide who went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We loved exploring the city and getting a true taste of the local culture. Make sure to book this tour and definitely ask for Leury!

5.00From start to finish this was a wonderful experience. The communication from tour operators and directions for meeting place were excellent. Our guide for the day was Johnathon and he showed us all the highlights that we were expecting to see and more. He was there waiting for us. He was courteous, professional, and a wonderful driver.
