Los Cahorros is a highly appreciated route among hikers, who have found a natural paradise on this site. In most of the towns of the Sierra Nevada National Park, trekking is often practiced, being Monachil one of these routes, which, due to its great beauty and easy route, is ideal for families, earning a prominent position.
It is a route where you will have to cross beautiful suspension bridges to discover what this special route hides, as well as its incredible views, waterfalls, natural rock pools, caves and narrow tunnels. This road will take you through some of the most spectacular landscapes of Andalusia.

It is a 6.5 kilometer route perfect for most people. It is a very popular route where a natural paradise has been found in this place due to its great beauty and ease. It is ideal to do as a family, which gives it a prominent place. It is a path where hanging bridges are crossed and, little by little, you discover what this special route hides, as well as its incredible views, waterfalls and tunnels. This path will take you through some of the most spectacular landscapes in Andalusia. Important information: On this path you need skill and agility, since there are narrow sections and places where you have to walk crouched. Not suitable for people with reduced mobility. We recommend bringing a backpack to carry your items and water, since it is essential to have your hands free during the walk.
We return to the same starting point.

5.00Very pretty hike through a canyon. Some uphill, a little crawling. Would not recommend this for little kids - some high metal handholds. We loved getting out of town. Great, friendly guide.

5.00This was the hike of a lifetime for us but too difficult! Our guide adjusted the pace to our capabilities, taught us so much about the animals and plants along the way , and delivered one of the best experiences we’ve had abroad. Julio is kind and wise! Super helpful!! 10 stars!!

5.00Marcello was a great guide. Our two boys are 9 and 6 and he helped us shepherd them round where they felt they were having an intrepid adventure and we felt they were safe. We all enjoyed the two different parts of the hike, firstly heading into the spectacular canyons and getting “hands on” (and “knees on”!), and then heading higher, with different geology and fauna. Marcello showed us various fragrant herbs growing wild. Very pleased we chose this trip.

5.00Julio delivered a great experience on the hike. He met us early, left the meeting point on time, took us early enough to avoid the crowds and took us on the less travelled part of the hike too. Had water and granola bars to keep our energy up too. Great 4 hour outing
