Make the most of your shore visit with our half-day adventure tour exploring the Big Island from summit to sea. We offer a unique tour including hands-on artifacts, fresh fruit, historical insights, and the significance of the places we visit. We'll take you on an unforgettable journey through Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, home to the world's most active volcano, Kilauea. You'll travel from the visitor center to Kilauea crater for panoramic views of the smoking caldera and steaming volcanic vents, and walk inside iconic Nahuku (Thurston Lava Tube). For lunch, enjoy an island-inspired meal on us at a local restaurant. Later we'll visit (The Most Famous Black Sand Beach on the Big Island)Punaluʻu black sand beach and discover the picture-perfect scenery of Rainbow Falls in Hilo.

We offer pick-up & drop-off in the Hilo area only.
This tour is not wheelchair accessible and includes moderate walking, including climbing roughly 15 stairs during the lava tube tour.

Rainbow Falls
Rainbow Falls is named after the colorful rainbows that appear in the mists of its waters. Signs in the viewing area relate some interesting historical facts about the waterfall, as well as the legend of the “Battle of the Wailuku River”.
Lili'uokalani Gardens
Drive through the largest Edo-style ornamental garden outside of Japan. Liliʻuokalani Gardens is a peaceful park of towering Banyan trees, ponds, bridges, and pagodas.

5.00Our guides were so knowledgeable. This was our favorite venture on the island. Well worth the money. So much information along the way. We learned about all the history of The Big Island. Plus Desmond and his partner were so wanting to make this memorable by taking pictures of all of us and taking time to get to know all of us on the tour personally. The lunch was outstanding and many things to choose from, the volcano was awesome! Then we went to black sand beach which was so beautiful. While we were there they brought us a beautiful fruit plate. So well worth it!!! My husband Scott loved the tour as much as I did .

5.00Highly recommend this tour! Anthony and Desmond are both so knowledgeable and passionate and it reflects in the tour! I enjoyed my entire day and learned a lot. Booked the tour specifically wanting to go to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park- which was amazing, but Rainbow Falls and Black Sand Beach were beautiful!

5.00This was a full day of fun and education. Anthony and Desmond were so easy going with pace and teaching of Hawaiian history and culture. I was a little guarded because I was on my own, but they put everyone at ease with their friendly manner. Each stop on the tour was well planned without being rushed. The lunch stop at a local family owned Cafe was delish and filling .

5.00Our tour guides , Anthony and Desmond were fantastic. Perfect pacing of the trip. Only twelve on a small bus so after the large cruise ship tours this was refreshing. They were both extremely knowledgeable and shared their love of Hawaii and its culture. I have been to the bug island before and this is hands down the best tour I have taken.

5.00Our favorite excursion! Rainbow falls, volcano, lava tubes, black sand Beach with an amazing fresh fruit basket. I talked to folks who booked with a different tour group, supposed to be the same destinations, but they didn't have the fresh fruit or lava tube experience. This was a great deal!

5.00Desmond and Anthony were the absolute best! Full of local history and facts and so very kind. Our day was absolutely the very best!!! Great sites, yummy lunch, and a fabulous snack of fresh fruit. Hugs all around when we were done as we had become friends. This is a not to miss tour!

5.00Best tour we’ve ever taken, anywhere. Best day of our Hawaiian Cruise. Hosts were educational and gave us plenty of time at each stop. We saw many highlights of Hilo and beyond. They provided lunch, Hawaiian candy and fresh fruits. Great day, just like family. Wish Anthony and Desmond the best!

5.00The guides were excellent and the tour was a lot of fun. They paced it perfectly for the group and made sure we were able to get great views of the volcano. They also taught us about the local culture and how they used native plants and environment.

5.00Having had a disappointing experience on Oahu, I was a bit hesitant at first, but this Big Island tour turned out to be one of the most beautiful days of my life. As a solo traveler and non-native English speaker, I immediately felt at ease thanks to the duo of guides. Anthony, with his stories and energy, made every explanation engaging, while Desmond, with his calm, kindness, and photography skills, added a warm and very endearing touch. They remembered every little detail, including my flight later that evening when they kindly dropped me off. Their welcoming demeanor allowed everyone on the tour to connect quickly. I also really appreciated not having to worry about food, the occasional detours, and the personal care they took to ensure we had the best experience. Their strong attachment to the local community and dedication to preserving history and the environment was a major plus for me. Most importantly, the experience never felt like a simple transaction. I truly felt part of a meaningful moment, something often missing in many tours. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour.
