This program is not just an experience. Many of the tea ceremony instructors who will be in charge of the tea ceremony have been involved in tea ceremony culture for many years, and they will not only explain the tea ceremony culture you want to know about, but also provide detailed explanations about all aspects of Japanese culture. They will also give you direct advice on how to enjoy the real tea ceremony culture.
Also, you can enjoy a tea ceremony experience while wearing a kimono. First, choose a kimono with your favorite color and pattern from the rich kimono collection in Nishijin, Kyoto. We will help you with your hair set before putting on your kimono. After that, you will have a simple photo shoot.

In this program, you can enjoy a tea ceremony experience while wearing a kimono. First, choose a kimono with your favorite color and pattern from the rich kimono collection in Nishijin, Kyoto. We will help you with your hair set before putting on your kimono. After that, you will have a simple photo shoot and then enjoy the tea ceremony experience with a master. Our tea room has been used for three generations. It is located near Daitoku-ji Temple, a place deeply rooted in Japanese tea culture. It's a bit old, but we'll do our best to help alleviate the fatigue from your trip to Japan. First, a tea master who has studied tea ceremonies for 30 years will show you the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. After having a cup of tea with seasonal sweets, you will learn about the history and etiquette of the ceremony, and even have the chance to prepare your tea. Why don't you share a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime time with the tea master?

5.00We were greeted with very professional lady to change into out kimonos , both men and women. Women had a hair stylist provide updo! Bedt part was Japanese interpretation by Akira. It was very nice to learn history and present day customs. Akira helped us pose and take memorable photos to make the most of us being thoughtfully dressed in kimonos!

5.00Learned so much about Japanese tea ceremony. Very authentic presentation. We enjoyed the tea master and the translator and had fun meeting other travelers from around the world. At first I was hesitant to book a ceremony where we would wear kimonos, but this was such a beautiful part of the experience. Highly recommend.

5.00This was an excellent experience. We felt looked after from the moment we arrived. We shared our experience with other people but the numbers were kept small so it did not detract from the experience at all. Everyone of the staff were friendly and very helpful from choosing your kimono and being dressed to learning how to prepare and perform the tea ceremony. I would definitely recommend it.

The entire staff goes above and beyond to provide gold star service from taking photos, explaining the process asking about your likes and dislikes. Such an incredible experience I would highly recommend EVERYONE ! Goes to their home and enjoy the performance and full immersion into the culture ! I smiled so much my face hurt !
