Your journey begins at the Ku’ia Estates Chocolate Factory in Lahaina, the largest chocolate factory in the state of Hawaii. Our tour guide then drives you to our private cacao estate, nestled in the foothills of the West Maui mountains. Featuring over 20 acres of cacao trees, our professional and friendly tour guides lead you from “farm to the bar.” This interactive and educational tour introduces you to our cacao trees, the hands-on fruit harvesting techniques, and finishes with an exclusive 9-piece tasting of our award-winning chocolate. Check-in is 15 minutes prior to your tour start time.

5.00We learned a lot about the chocolate making process on Maui and the idea behind how it got started. After the tour we all were able to sample 9 distinctly different pieces of chocolate. The tasting took place in a tree house in the middle of the crop area! The area had a beautiful view and being able to pair that with chocolate was a great way to start my day!!! I’d definitely tell friends/family about this tour.

5.00Fabulous experience! Our guide, Mandy, was knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. Loved touring the cacao farm, learning its history, seeing the trees and cacao pods. Lunch in the treehouse was a treat! Boxed lunches provided by Leodas were ample and delicious. Happily got to sample lots of chocolates and even given some to take home.

5.00This was a highlight of our time in Hawaii. The tour guide was outstanding, and we learned a lot. The other staff were friendly, and the chocolate tasting was great. If we had had time, we would have gone back to do the factory tour.

5.00We just did this tour on 1/16/2026. We loved it!!! very informative and the chocolate was delicious. Mandy was our guide and she did a great job. After the tour we bought chocolates to bring home and sat upstairs in the bar area and had sandwiches they had for sale in their deli case. It was all so much fun and our whole group0 of 6 loved it!

5.00So Awesome! Everyone enjoyed this tour, from our 12 year old to the adults! YUMMY chocolate and phenomenal cacao milkshakes and mousse. Highly rcommend.

4.00Overall an interesting experience if you’ve never seen cocoa trees and beans growing in nature. Approximately 90 min tour - spent 15-20 min in bus getting to/from farm and remaining time in fields and tasting 9 small chocolates. Guide was good. I would have liked to walk through the factory to see the chocolate being made - maybe that could be added.
