Canterbury Cathedral

A designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, Canterbury Cathedral is both a serene place of holiness and beautiful tourist destination. As the Cathedral of the Archbishop, the spiritual leader of the Church of England, Canterbury holds a special place in British history. No ordinary Cathedral, Canterbury has a long history that is often described as ‘England in Stone’; from the role of its Archbishops in the Magna Carta to the murder of Thomas Becket after a power struggle with the King of England, Canterbury’s history is intertwined with that of England. Founded by St Augustine in 600 AD, the Cathedral today is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England, and the first building in the country to be redesigned in this popular style in 1774.

Leeds castle is immersive as a "country estate" as are the furnished rooms. Canterbury is not to be missed on a visit to England. The brief visit at Dover was a disappointment; the cliffs are barely visible from the stopping point along a short, stony beach. Guide was informative. Overall a pleasant day trip from London

Very smooth and laid back tour. Lovely drive through the SE Wngland countryside. Ample time to explore Leeds Castle. Plenty of time to spend on the beach at Dover admiring the cliffs and castle. Very informative and entertaining tour of Canterbury Cathedral. Extra time in Canterbury to have lunch. I highly recommend this tour.

Guide Kevin was entertaining. Learned a lot of history of England from him. They don’t allow hot drinks on the bus unfortunately so no hot coffee.

I had an absolutely fantastic day on my tour of Leeds Castle, the Cliffs of Dover, and Canterbury Cathedral, and I owe a big part of my enjoyment to our wonderful guide, Kevin. He provided insight into the history of all these sites, including Dover's strategic importance during both World Wars, which added a deeper layer to the stunning scenery.

Phil and our driver Marlon were wonderful. Phil was easy to interact with and made every part of the tour enjoyable. He was knowledgeable and loved getting questions. I would highly recommend these guys.

Had a lovely tour with guide Phil and driver Greg. Very informative, but never felt rushed. Weather was good, so we were able to see the coast of France from Dover. I would highly recommend this tour.
