Our tour takes you to the stunning Vinh Trang Pagoda, a 100-year-old temple that will take your breath away. As you embark on a relaxing cruise on the Mekong River from My Tho to Ben Tre, you'll have the opportunity to experience the traditional rowing boat in the water coconut canal, which we designed for the QUITE CANAL to maximize your experience. The picturesque scenery is a feast for the eyes and will leave you spellbound.
During the tour, you'll be privileged to indulge in local honey, fresh fruits, and coconut candy, giving you a taste of the local culture. You'll learn about bees' fascinating life, how they produce honey, and its importance to the region.
After a 5-course Southern Vietnamese set menu lunch, where you can do the DIY cooking and making BANH XEO, aka the Vietnamese pancake. You'll end your tour with another boat in the beautiful canal through the Mekong life, taking in the stunning scenery. In total, we take 3 different boats.

Vinh Trang Temple
Pagoda is a beautiful Buddhist temple located in My Tho, Tien Giang province. This pagoda is one of the most famous and important historical and cultural landmarks in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. The temple has been attracting both local and foreign visitors for decades due to its unique architecture and spiritual significance. The Vinh Trang Pagoda was founded in the mid-19th century by a monk named Hue Dang. It is situated on a 2-hectare area and is surrounded by green trees and beautiful gardens. The architecture of the pagoda is a blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Cambodian styles, which makes it unique and captivating. The main building of the pagoda is a large sanctuary that is dedicated to the Buddha. The interior of the temple is beautifully decorated with colorful statues of the Buddha, as well as depictions of Buddhist legends and teachings. The roof of the temple is decorated with dragon-shaped ornaments, which is a common feature of traditional architecture.

5.00We had a great day out with our guide Tom. The tour was very easy going and covered a range of sights along the Mekong. Two boat rides, a tuk tuk transfer, lunch with the locals, coconuts, brick factory and a big fat happy buddha all included in the trip! Thanks team for an excellent experience.

2.00Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Tour Experience on July 16, 2025 Dear Joy Journeys I am writing to express my significant dissatisfaction and concerns regarding the tour service I received in Ho Chi Minh City. Despite the tour guide's knowledge of the locations visited, numerous issues with the service led to a disappointing and at times uncomfortable experience. 1. *Pickup Delay and Vehicle*: The scheduled pickup was at 10:00 AM, but transportation did not arrive until 11:45 AM. The vehicle used was an older-model personal vehicle, which was not ideal for a tour service. 2. *Tour Guide's Responsiveness*: The tour guide was not sufficiently sympathetic to my needs. For example: - I requested a life jacket on the boat for safety, and the guide stated they only had life jackets fitting average Vietnamese sizes, telling me not to worry about it. - I expressed discomfort eating at a private home in a remote area; the guide ignored my wishes. - I asked to avoid the homeowner's dogs; the guide left me outside with the dogs, where one licked my leg. 3. *Safety Concerns and Itinerary*: I was on an old boat without a life jacket. The guide initially said a visit to a specific coconut island wasn't part of the trip but ended up going there anyway. 4. *Lost Property and Unprofessional Conduct*: I left my hat on the boat and requested its return. After being told it might cost 200,000 to 300,000 VND for return, the guide demanded 300,000 VND. When I refused and countered with 200,000 VND, the guide became unprofessional, accused me of "taking food out of his workers' mouths," and wished harm upon me. At that point, I felt unsafe and decided I did not want the hat returned. Due to these issues, I rated the tour 2 stars. In conclusion, I strongly advise against booking this tour. I suggest booking a tour with other guests in advance for a fraction of the $200 price tag I paid. I hope this feedback is useful for improving your services. 5.00Our tour guide, Kero, was great at communicating with us before our trip and made sure that our whole party of five, including my 80 year old mother, had an enjoyable and safe trip. Our driver was a very jovial fellow who looked after getting us safely from HCMC to Mekong Delta and back again. We were picked up around 7:30 and returned to our hotel around 4:30. So it was not a super long day, which was nice for our last tour before returning home. On this trip we drove to a temple, went on a boat ride, then a smaller boat ride before having a lovely lunch (where we made our own pancakes) and watching the manufacture of and tasting and buying the yummy coconut candy. Definitely a worthwhile experience
