Photography gallery exhibit tour with Suneel was a highlight. I would recommend. The overall museum is a bit kid oriented. And I would have liked more detailed history. But the museum is cool. And the gallery tour offered a more intellectual experience.

Great museum for London transportation. Many physical displays to climb and touch. Great for kids and adults. Food and drinks to buy or bring your own.

I really enjoyed it, and loved the visual side of the museum. The best part was when one of your guides - Lisa came to us and started telling us about the photos on the second floor. We learned a lot of facts and intresting stories about transport from her! We will definitelly come back.

We spend a great time with Lisa, who tell as extremely interesting stories about a London underground and it's history. The story about MIND THE GAP voice was touching. Recommend to vist the Museum and find Lisa to hear unknown stories about the tube.

This was an amazing thing to do in London. You can it in a few hours but also there is enough stuff in there that you could go back twice which is what I plan to do. The museum has a huge range of items across multiple levels, including trains and buses used in London over the years. I don't recommend going on Saturday though, it was extremely busy and there were lots of children. I prefer a more tranquil experience when I go to museums. Although, for guests with children there is a play area which is a nice touch. Overall, a must see if you are interested in the history of the London Underground and transport in general. It's also located in Covent Garden which is on the Picadilly Line, and very close to lots of shops and food. Above all, a great experience.

I think that everyone around me was ten, give or take, but honestly? I was the most excited one there. The London Transport Museum is a gem — especially if, like me, you spend your days building trains and bidding for new TfL tenders. Seeing the history of the Underground, the evolution of carriages, and all that design work up close — it’s pure joy. Professional pride with a side of nostalgia. Also, I finally saw a double-decker trolley bus in person. It’s… majestic. Like a red whale that obeys traffic lights. But one question stayed with me: Why on earth did Londoners decide to build the Tube for hobbits? Those tunnels are tiny. Either people were shorter back then — or they really wanted us to bow before the transport gods. Anyway — great museum. Fun, smart, and genuinely inspiring. Highly recommend (even if your knees don’t fit in a vintage carriage).

We bought 2 annual passes and day tickets to take our grandkids who visited us from Wales. We chose an allocated entrance time on line. However we arrived early but were still allowed to enter the museum. It was during half term and it was busy but well organised. They were well staffed and the staff were visible throughout the museum. There were dining tables and chairs available which can be used for your own picnic. There is also a cafe as well as an Ice cream/coffee stall inside. Our grandkids are 6 & 3 and enjoyed exploring and getting in out of train’s carriages & buses. We were given trail cards as an activity for the children with 13 points to visit in the museum and which could be punched with symbols. I recommend a visit to the museum especially when it’s rainy day.

I remember really enjoying this museum when I visited about 10 years ago. It was casual yet informative. Now, it must be London’s biggest crèche. They’ve sadly felt the need to cater to children and consequently what was an interesting, family day out has become an interactive kids club. I went with my 8yod and even she was complaining about the rampaging kids, comparing it to when the reception class at school is let loose on the school yard! I honestly could not believe how LTM has transformed into a children-focused attraction. Had I visited on my own, I would have felt oddly out of place. I couldn’t wait to get out.

A brilliant showcase of London’s transport evolution—from horse-drawn carriages to driverless trains. The exhibition blends historic charm with modern innovation, making the journey feel alive. Interactive displays and restored vehicles engage all ages, sparking curiosity and nostalgia alike. Special thanks to guide Karen, whose passion brought the “Art on the Move” story vividly to life. Her tribute to visionaries like Albert Stanley, Frank Pick, and Henry Beck was both heartfelt and enlightening. With an eye for detail, she revealed how design and public art shaped TfL’s identity—from station aesthetics to iconic maps. Karen’s dedication turned history into inspiration, making every moment feel like a moving canvas.
