We had a great time and my 10-year-old son enjoyed it a lot. The host was super kind and totally made it a very enjoyable experience. The location is also great in a very very clean part of town. Highly recommend!

When I booked this lesson I had added as a note that if there were any alcohol-containing ingredients I'd prefer to have them swapped (halal sensibility on my end). Hana san contacted me after the booking confirmation to let me know that the ingredients didn't contain alcohol, so I was able to go to the lesson without worry! Hana san picked my aunt and I up and we walked together to her place (that's quite close by)! As it's August right now it felt extra great when we arrived shortly at her place with air conditioning already on ^^ Since the place is so central, it's a breeze to find somewhere entertaining to your taste before or after the lesson! However we hadn't planned out the rest of the day, and she was very kind to advise us a destination and en-route stops to look out for 🙏❤️ The lesson itself was quite engaging! The process of making the nerikiri sweets is very fun and rewarding, even if you're not that good with your hands. Hana san was very kind with my error-prone Japanese and lackluster ability in making sweets so the lesson went smoothly ☺️ (Japanese is by no means a requirement though, as stated in the detailed information her English is very good!) We chose 3 nerikiri models and tried to recreate them as Hana san showed us, and lastly we created one improvised nerikiri as she readied Matcha ceremony sets for us. We made the matcha together step by step, and even snacked a little as we drank ^^ TLDR: I'd recommend to anyone considering! 🌸

It was an excellent experience to make Nerikiri. The host was a very friendly and supportive lady who used to live in the U.S. She speaks both English and Japanese fluently. I made four Nerikiri, which was very enjoyable. After making Nerikiri, we were explained how to make own Matcha Tea. We could bring those four hand-made Nerikiri and Japanese sweets served with Match Tea. Thank you very much for the nice opportunity. Recommended!
