  Truly unbelievable experience. I saw so many Mantas from every direction it was unreal. The guys running the trip were fantastic and very knowledgeable. Great experience of a lifetime!

  My wife and I were initially worried booking something that had us going out into the ocean after dark, but from start to finish every part of the experience made us more comfortable and confident about the excursion. There were 24 other people on the boat alongside us going out which made me feel better because if any sharks were there, there was other bait in the water. But our tour guide also reassured us that where we were going to snorkel, a little south of where we headed out from, has almost no chance at all of a shark being there, also adding that in his four year working the tour, he had never seen a shark where we were headed. The place we snorkeled was also pretty close to the shore, so it wasn't like we were going out to sea. And when we arrived at the snorkeling area, there were about 5 or so other boats out there with large groups snorkeling with the manta rays. The area was very well lit up by spotlights and boat lights. They provide you with a wetsuit jacket so I was plenty warm. And I'm not sure what the water temperature is like in Hawaii year round, but in October, at night, it was pretty warm water, no worse than a swimming pool, very comfortable. They also provide a snorkel with goggles that cover your eyes and nose. They spray the goggles with defogger before you get in the water so vision through them is clear the entire time you're out there. They provide everyone with a pool noodle for while in the water, so you have a floatation device while you swim over to the large boards in the water where everyone grabs on to the board while viewing the mantas. The tour guide then comes around while in the water and positions your pool noodle between your legs so that your feet aren't hanging in the water, and you're floating flat on the surface for best viewing position. The viewing experience itself is so incredible. It's probably the coolest experience I've had in my life. It's everything you want out of an experience snorkeling with manta rays. The mantas literally come up so close that, no joke, if you stick your tongue out, you'd end up licking one, which the tour guide also tells you on the boat. My hand was hanging in the water through the hand rail on the board the entire time in the water, and for pretty much the whole hour and half or so in the water, mantas were brushing up against it. So I spent the entire time petting 16 foot long sea creatures. The underside of their skin that they come up to the board with feels like a very low grade sandpaper, a little course but still fairly smooth. And if you were still nervous once you were hanging onto the board in the water, the tour guide, Elaio, was so funny that it calmed any nerves you had left. No joke, it felt like alongside snorkeling we had paid for a comedy show. It was probably the highlight of our trip. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Hawaii.   Elayo and Kelly were amazing ! They made the ride so fun and smooth. We saw so many manta rays! They get so close to you it’s amazing !! Highly recommend!!!!!

• Cool experience rough start

  This was a fun experience but verify with company where the pickup spot is. We followed the directions on app but no one showed up I finally called and was told that we and the 3 other groups with us were in the wrong spot. No communication the pickup location changed. Once that was sorted was a cool experience. Bring Dramamine those seas a rough!
