  Great day! While the bus trip is long, the scenery is beautiful and relaxing. Abhi our guide and driver was fantastic. The sound/fiord was astounding.

  10/10 recommend. It was such a stunning experience. The whole drive out our coach driver Annette was telling stories and history and Maori legends. She shared so much that really enhanced the whole experience. The views are unbelievable and the bus was super comfy with phone chargers in every seat.   Milford sound boat tour is a great experience. The great sights bus was comfortable and our driver Ivan was knowledgeable. Unfortunately he rushed us quite a bit that it felt uncomfortable. Two mins for the sight seeing stops, asked everyone to use the restrooms in the boat since he will leave right after the boat stops, gave a seven min break for restroom and drinks in a crowded cafe he chose in the middle of four hours ride. My kids mostly remember the anxiety around rushing back to bus., falling down and tripping over. The entire experience would have been much better if werent lectured so much about time or given a few extra mins at stops. I request the tour company to enforce minimum resasonable breaks for stops so that it is not upto each driver.

  A very long day but so worth it. Even just the views on the drive there are stunning. The guide was amazing! Literally only downside is the journey back again but such a good day.

  Matt drove and talked about the area very well. Boat captain gave us a very close experience of the huge waterfall. It was awesome!!! Oh yes food served on boat was well organized and very delicious.

  Well organized trip with Richard the buss driver that told great stories during our trip. Be prepared for spending quite some time in the bus

• Good budget way to see Milford Sound

  Positives: Milford sound was beautiful, drive was beautiful, and driver had some great stories and information. The cruise was busy but gorgeous. Good communication about pickup/drop off. Good experience for the price overall as other options cost much more. Negatives: We did know this upfront but it was a very long day. Bus seats were a little tight for tall people but probably okay for anyone under 5’7. Picnic lunch was not good, better to bring your own food. They didn’t provide anything to drink with the lunchbox.

  I have some positives and some negatives about the tour. Positives: I appreciated not having to drive the near 4 hours from Queenstown to Milford Sound, it gave me the opportunity to really enjoy the scenery and relax on the trip. Our driver was professional and drove well through all the twist & turns. I also liked that I didn’t have to schedule my own rest stops & my tickets for the ferry. The Milford Sound itself is beautiful and I would highly recommend anyone visiting the South Island of New Zealand to go see it. The buffet was also good and had options that appealed to an assortment of people. Negatives: There was not a whole lot of organization at the beginning of the trip to get on the bus. Me and my husband had to sit apart from each other for part of the trip because other guests pushed their way on first. Not necessarily this tours fault, just wanted to give the warning if you are traveling in pairs/groups. While our driver gave good information regarding the history of New Zealand, I didn’t feel super engaged with the information & her personality. She did do a good job at keeping the schedule throughout the day. Overall, if I was up to driving myself the ~12hr day trip, I would probably have preferred that, but this tour was a good option if you don’t want to worry about driving that far/long.
