What To Expect
Schloss Linderhof
Departing from central Munich you'll first arrive at Castle Linderhof at approx. 10am. It is the smallest of three royal castles and was built by King Ludwig II during the 19th century as a hunting lodge. Built in French Rococo style, the castle has a Moorish pavilion which can be visited during your one hour stay. You have the option to join a guided tour of the interior of Linderhof. Tour in the castle: app. 25 minutes. Departure at Linderhof: 10:45AM

5.00What a beautiful setting for a castle. Breathtaking views of the alps and lake. If you get a chance take the trek up to the bridge to get a picture of the castle. Of all the castles we toured, this was my favorite because if the setting and intricate details and more modest than some of the other extravagant castles we toured.

5.00We spent a full amazing day in Bavaria, visiting castles and touring through the beautiful countryside. Our driver, Flav, navigated us safely through all the twists and turns and served amazing coffee. Our tour guide., Ursula, kept us on track as far as timing and taught us so much (with visual aids as well), about the life and times of King Ludwig and the Bavarian history. The castles speak for themselves, nothing short of amazing.! Ursula do all the great photo spots, and they even treated us to a lovely Bavarian surprise aboard the bus in the afternoon. Highly recommend.!!

5.00We were treated royally on our tour. Our wonderful driver (Fladdy) doubled as a wonderful coffee barista, and also made sure we were well supplied with delicious snacks and water and even a beer for the return drive. Our guide Ursula gave us very interesting and detailed history lessons and was such a pleasure. A wonderful tour experience.

3.00Great sights. Not to much walking. The tour was rushed and the guide was not very talkative during the tour. Our bus was 30 minutes late due to a technical difficulty. Yet we still didn’t get 30 minutes back instead we were rushed through the sights to make up time.
