You will visit Japan's National Treasure, Toshogu Shrine. According to many, this is the most gorgeous shrine of Japan, with its gold leaf decortions, its carvings of animal figures and the tomb of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the most famous shogun in Japanese history.
The Kegon waterfall will take your breath away with its 100 meters in height!
It is the only way out for Lake Chuzenji's water.
The lake, at the foot of Mt. Nantai, is the most iconic landscape of this region, with a temple and some former embassies by its shore.

Please be on time. The bus would not compensate any kinds of tardiness.
In case of traffic congestion or any other uncontrollable reasons that affect the schedule of the trip, changing of route or itinerary, cutting the itinerary, and others will be done in order of the trip to proceed smoothly. Please note that the company will not take any responsibility.
If there is traffic congestion or other reasons that lead to delays and affect the tour schedule, shopping time in outlet will be cut shorted.
In the colder season, please bring winter clothes, as the temperature in Nikko is generally colder than in Tokyo.
If you plan to stay in Nikko for the night you can get off in front of Tobu Nikko Station at the end of the tour. Please let the guide know. Please note that this won't influence the tour price.
Children up to 5 years old may join free of charge, but will not be provided with bus seats or lunch. If bus seats or lunch is required, please make a booking under the child rate.

1.00First off, without a doubt, the bus staff was phenomenal. The 1 star in no way reflects them. I’m writing this at 10:30 at night. We got in this bus at 8:30 in the morning. We still have 30 more minutes before we get back. This has been a complete nightmare. Apparently, the bus company knew this was one of the busiest days in the whole year (unknown to us) for the Niikko tour. They should NOT have sent this bus. We didn’t arrive to the shrine until 12:42 pm. By the time we walked to the shrine, had the tour operator get our tickets, and then wait AGAIN to enter, we were limited to 40 minutes in the shrine area. Afterwards, lunch was rushed with little time to shop or get bathroom breaks before we hit the road for what would be the longest bus ride of my life. Over 8 hours of a bus ride, with no more sightseeing. The road to the lake was so bad, we barely moved up the hill. Completely dark at the crest, there was no stopping to see the lake anymore. And no more stops at all, except for bathroom breaks and mandatory driver breaks. All, the, way, back. An entire (and then some) day wasted sitting inside a bus. My wife and I took this tour over a decade ago and were so excited to show our kids…now we utterly regret going.

5.00Nikko was an impromptu trip and it was well worth the visit. I am so glad I signed up. The tour guide was highly informative. The temple and waterfall was amazing.

5.00It was just perfect. Not too long dragged out but at a nice pace. Sam our guide was lighthearted and humorous and helped pass the time on the bus with information. The bus ride is dependent on time of day traffic but the bus was comfortable and our 2 hr ride went well. Expect to climb many steps at the shrine as this is the site where you’ll spend most your time.

5.00Our guide was excellent & well informed on Shinto & Buddhist iconography & ritual. We booked the tour to see the bronze statue of Amida Buddha of Kamakura & we were overwhelmed. To our delight the tour includes a visit to island of Enoshima. A must tour for understanding Japanese Buddhism & Shintoism.

5.00An excellent trip for those who love nature. The Nikko area is beautiful with stunning views as well as history. The shrine was elaborate and stunning with lots of information. The lake,drive to the lake and waterfall and the waterfall itself were all amazing. The guide was full of information about where we were passing through although at times difficult to understand. Thoroughly worthwhile. The company was well organised and trip went without any problems

5.00Ken was a great tour guide. The Futarasan-jinja Haiden shrine was amazing to see and it's not hard to understand why it is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Kegon Falls and Chuzenji Lake were also beautiful. The Irohazaka roadway was interesting to ride on and I am amazed at the skill of the bus driver on some of those tight turns. Definitely recommend the tour. Things to be aware of, there are 200+ steps at the shrine site so be aware you will be going up stairs. There is still some walking for the tours, but it's also not a super large amount. Lunch was good, but it would have been helpful to have instructions on how to eat it for non-Japanese participants. Overall a great tour to see the mountains of Japan and not just be in the city of Tokyo.
