In the company of an expert fluently English speaking, licensed guide, you will visit first the breathtaking Palatina Gallery, with splendid paintings by Raffaello, Tiziano, Artemisia Gentileschi, Van Dyck, Rubens, Caravaggio and then, after a short break, the wonderful Boboli Gardens, one of the first examples of socalled Italian Renaissance garden.

Pitti Palace is the most splendid example of a Renaissance private palace.

Enlarged through the centuries, it has maintened its external aspect absolutely unchanged, while the inner rooms do show different styles, depending on the families living in it: from the Pitti and Medici families to the Habsburg and Savoy family.

An extraordinary hub of rooms so richly decorated with priceless paintings, furniture, frescoes and statues, revealing the immense passion for arts all members of the Medici family cultivated, whwere we can truly sense how power and imagination can interact.

Fascinating and informative. Absolutely top notch guide but dont go in cold, learn about some of the things you will see/experience ahead of time, and it will be much more meaningful. And for goodness sake, tip generously when your guide gives her all!

Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens, and Pallatina Gallery is a must see!! One could spend more than a day seeing all there is to see!! The gardens are stunning as well as the gallery. I’ve never seen such beautiful chandeliers as those in the palace. There are a lot of stairs to climb in the palace as well as the gardens. But so worth it!! Our tour guide did a wonderful job!

We had Lucia as a guide. She was very knowledgeable about the art in the palace as well as the history of the families who lived there. We went on a rainy day, perhaps our perspective on the garden was influenced by that. The garden is huge, with many stairs to climb. The view from the top was obscured on our visit. There are not many plantings, so it is rather plain.

A terrific tour led by a great guide, Camilla. She's an art history and restoration expert, and led us through, sharing her insights and enthusiasm for the work we were seeing. If we had tried to navigate this without her guidance, we would have missed much of the significance of what we were seeing. Am so glad we signed up for this and that we had Camilla as our guide. She also led us through the Boboli Gardens, again explaining the context of what was there and showing us some off-the-beaten-path vistas. A+++

The guide was the most knowledgeable museum guide I’ve ever had. She kept a steady pace that helped keep us from being overwhelmed by the scope of the art while pointed out the most important pieces and some quirky ones. She connected the time periods, the Medici family history, and the art in a manner that we all could appreciate.

This was the most incredible tour and Camilla was the most incredible guide! She was so knowledgeable and explained the history of the art and architecture with such passion and expertise. The art is on the level of that in the Uffizi, and the gardens offer gorgeous views of the city. This is a tour not to be missed!
