    I had a great experience doing the guided tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum with Askos Tours after booking the experience via Viator. Our guide Alfredo was very courteous and knowledgeable as we explored both historical sites. I would advise if you are traveling during July/summertime to make sure you bring water, sun umbrella, fan, sunscreen, etc... because it does get quite hot! There is an opportunity to get your own lunch in the mall near Pompeii after finishing Herculaneum in the morning.

    Our tour guide, Raphael "as in the archangel"...his reference not ours LOL was not only extremely knowledgable of Pompeii and Herculaneum history but wove wonderful humor into his factual provisions. Tour walked at a nice pace especially considering the brutal heat we experienced at the time. He also secured tables at a lovely restaurant for lunch prior to our Pompeii tour. We had a wonderful small group of people which allowed for a more intimate tour in comparison to other large groups. Transportation was provided in an extremely clean and comfortable van with AC... shout out to our driver! Meeting location was very convenient in the center of Naples. Highly recommended tour and so glad we chose it.
