Starting from Messina we will visit one of the most beautiful villages in Italy (Savoca), famous for the film The Godfather (Frank Coppola), where you can visit the catacombs, the mother church and the historic Vitelli bar for 2 hours. Then we continue to discover Taormina, passing by the Ionian coast where beautiful views surround us, once in Taormina you will be waited for 2 hours where you can visit the historic centre, the Greek-Roman theatre, the shops with the best designer labels and taste the typical products Sicilians. Before returning to Messina, we will stop for 15 minutes to admire the view of Isola Bella (Taormina sea) and take enchanting photos. Upon returning to the city of Messina, there will be a small tour of the city of the Strait of Messina.

The driver was not a guide just a driver. He spoke very little English and at times had to use his phone to interrupt. Explained very little and just wandered around the Godfather shooting our selves with no explanation. We had less time in Taormania and no real tour of Messina and if their were catacombs to us it was the tunnels to on the road. Very disappointing for a company like Viator for the high price paid. This was a nice tour but the reason I would not recommend is that it was listed as private. There were six of us plus 8 in another group with us. Their confirmation also listed it as private for their 8. They were nice and it wasn't a big deal but if I had recommended this to clients and it ended up being small group instead of private, they would not have been happy.
