Make sure you understand how to use your camera settings in order to capture colorful photos. The guide captured beautiful photos. The colors were not visible to the naked eye and there was very little communication throughout the night. The guide drove us to three locations. The second one was the best! Unfortunately the first location was so much traffic with headlights was not great for photos. I would recommend that the driver find the off road location and stay there as the northern lights change so fast. There is no hunting the northern lights as the driver said.

We were not fortunate to see the lights but the driver did warn us that the chances were slim when we were picked up. Tour was full and we had to sit in the back of the bus and could not hear the drivers directions or updates which was frustrating.

This is tough because if you see the lights you'll love it, but if you don't (we didn't) you'll realized you paid a lot of money for an Uber pool to drive you to the side of the road with 20 strangers to stand in the cold, and late in the evening eat a donut hole and drink some hot chocolate from a packet. This isn't a romantic small group event. It is a snipe hunt! Our driver made his best effort to find the lights for us, but what they forgot about was the hospitality experience. After a long talk about the need for darkness, our first stop was right on the highway overlooking the city with car lights in our face. The second was a Subway parking lot where we sat for 40 minutes because the driver's camera battery was dead and he was waiting for another. Then we rushed around the countryside with no real experience to speak of besides commiserating with the other passengers. Would I feel different if we saw the lights and had an incredible experience? Probably. Would I try again? No. Even though they offered to let us come back to try again for free—which was appreciated—because we saw nothing. We didn't get home until almost 2:00 AM, which made for a rough morning on holiday. Our driver had the best of intentions and seemed to be knowledgeable about the lights but the event is a "guided tour" so we weren't being taught much or distracted by the shut out as we went. Overall, would not recommend. Take the money and spend it on a nice dinner and walk down to the harbor afterwards.

The aim of this activity was to see the aurora boreal. You couldn't see. The experience was bad. The driver tried everything to find out the aurora boreal, but this was not possible.
