Visit this privately owned Kenyan tea farm from Nairobi. You will be picked up from your hotel and enjoy a short drive to the Highlands of Limuru where tea is grown in Kenya. On arrival to the tea farm, you will welcomed with a cup of tea as you meet this beautiful family who own the 70 acres Riara tea farm. They will explain to you the history of the tea farm from during the colonial times to what it is right now. You will also enjoy a walking tour on the actual farm as the farm manager explains to you how tea is grown and harvested. Later on you will be served fresh organic food for lunch.

The tour includes a barbecue lunch but we can offer options for people with dietary restrictions such as vegans and vegetarians. If you have dietary requirements please indicate them when booking.

The remaining hours will be allotted for the travel time from pick up until drop off.

    We loved our experience visiting the tea farm! From start to finish it was such a wonderful time! Eric our guide was fantastic as well as the driver! We had an amazing time learning all about the full experience of how tea is made from start to finish. How amazing it is, as tea lovers we were so amazed by how long it truly takes to make tea. We loved the food it was delicious! Please please go on this tea tour, it is truly unique and one of a kind experience! Worth everything to go!

    Wow!!! What an amazing experience we had, truly unforgettable and one of the highlights of our trip! Eric was a phenomenal guide and the driver was also amazing! Grace was such an amazing tour guide as well as her father. This was truly an unforgettable tour, the farm was beautiful and the tea was so delicious! The food was so yummy, I wish I could eat it again right now! Thank you for everything, please do this!!! You will not regret!!!

    Visiting a tea plantation in Kenya is a must but don’t go visiting just any! Riara tea farm is one of the first tea plantations owned by Kenyans. His family history is completely intertwined with the history of Kenya. If you like to consume and travel differently, this tour will delight you. Eric drove us there and allowed us to meet this amazing family , warm and authentic. The whole process is explained in detail up to the tasting of the different teas. Of course the landscapes are also sublime. The icing on the cake: you can have lunch on site and enjoy tasty and organic local cuisine.
