The tour/tour guide was nice but the only issue was we were passed off to a guide at the catacombs and they combined us with another group the ended up being way too many people (even the guide kept saying so) so we could not hear what the catacomb guide was saying. The company needs to keep the groups smaller.

We had a Potentially Very Dangerous Experience! Most importantly, Do Not get separated from your Tour Guide in the Catacombs! We were taken to the San Sebastián Catacombs, not the St. Callixtus Catacombs as described in itinerary. We, along with four other people, got behind slower walkers and, in the blink of an eye, our San Sebastián tour guide was out of sight with the first half of our group of twelve. We called after them, to no avail. Finally, we met up with another tour guide, thank God, who instructed us on how to exit the catacombs, as it would be impossible to catch up with our group. Once outside we went into the chapel. Shortly after we got inside the Chapel, our tour guide entered with the half of the group he managed to keep with him. He had absolutely no realization that he had lost half of his group in the catacombs. Obviously, never took a headcount. There are kilometers of paths with absolutely no signage to help one stay on the trail or to find an exit on your own. Had we not happened upon the other tour guide, we would not have been missed until who knows when! Hopefully, the Roman Guy Tour guide would have taken a headcount before the van departed to finish the tour.

We loved this tour! Fiona was a fantastic tour guide! She was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She really made the tour enjoyable. The time at each site was perfect. My only criticism is that they don’t deliver you back to the meeting point. Fiona was nice enough to make sure everyone knew how to get to their next destination using the various forms of transportation.

Lots of stairs. Tour can be morbid for younger people. We enjoyed it. Our tour operator Mateo and Monica were terrific,very knowledgeable,helpful and friendly.
