The Colosseum has strict security restrictions. Due to metal detectors at the entrances of most attractions (and no bag check) it is forbidden to bring the following:
A valid ID or passport (also for children/infant)– Required for entry and ticket verification.
Your own headphones – If you choose the AUDIOGUIDE option, please bring your own headphones to enjoy the commentary clearly.

5.00Allesandro C. was a fantastic tour guide! He was so informative with valuable information about the ruins. Take water bottles so you can refill it at the water fountains. A small snack is good to have. Very hot in August. Keep hydrated and enjoy. We absolutely loved it!

4.00Highly recommend, although our guide was informative beyond imagination... TOO much info. Rushed through Colosseum due to t.m.i. of historic sites . Wished our guide spoke English better- hard to understand made for a long & difficult tour.

4.00This tour was a good overview of the Palatine Hill, Roman Forum, and Colosseum. Our guide did a good job navigating the crowds, and made sure we knew where the nasoni were to refill our water bottles. There is a lot of history to cover in this area, and even though the three sites are close together there is a lot of walking, with uneven ground and changes in elevation, so be aware if you have limited mobility or are traveling with someone who does.

2.00Our family had booked this trip based off the advertised itinerary, when we arrived and started the tour the guide advised that they had changed it and would start off with the palatine hill, forum and the colosseum last. I spoke with the operator on regards to the change due to the fact we had elderly people with us and due to the weather they would be too tired at the end to see the colosseum at the end, our main goal was to see and enjoy the colosseum the rest was extra and if we had been too tired we would've left the tour early. He then told me that the advertised itinerary isn't always followed which was very deceptive because that's the only reason i booked the tour with them to being with. If you're booking based off what's advertised don't be surprised once you show up and they change your plans for you. Unfortunately exactly what i said would happened and we had to leave 15min into the colosseum due to my husband and his sister being too tired and missed the rest of the tour
