8.00 AM: Private driver picks you up from Phu My cruise harbor to drive to Ho Chi Minh City (2 hours). Meet and greet your guide in Ho Chi Minh City’s gate to start the visit to Re-Unification Palace, the former palace of President of Vietnam Southern Government. Today this building is a museum and venue for official receptions. Visit the private rooms of the president, the “War Room” from where the South Vietnamese forces were controlled, and, most poignantly, the room where the North Vietnamese army finally took control in 1975.

5.00Yang was a great guide. He had a car waiting for us at our Port and after the tour if the sites in Saigon, our driver brought us back to our ship. Yang was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. After lunch, he had more sites to see but we were all tired so he arranged for the driver to take us back to the ship. He accommodated our wishes and we were grateful.
