The San Diego Zoo Safari Park, an 1,800-acre wildlife park, is home to more than 3,600 animals representing over 300 species. More than 1 million guests each year see wildlife in herds of mixed species, in expansive savanna habitats. The Safari Park also maintains a vast accredited botanical collection of more than 1.3 million plant specimens, representing over 3,700 species. Guests are invited to take part in thrilling safari experiences and create lasting memories, while supporting San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance’s conservation efforts to save wildlife worldwide.
Tickets must be purchased at least one day prior to visit. With mobile tickets, simply scan your phone for direct entry into the Safari Park.

4.00May want to bring your own healthy drinks and snacks. Elephant viewing was a bust, viewing area is at the far end of the enclosure and they were not viewable all day. New Elephant exhibit opens early March…maybe the new viewing area will address this issue.

1.00Unable to get the tickets and had to purchase them at the gate. Says I need to verify my email but it's already been verified. Also received an email that said the tickets are ready but could not access them.

5.00Go early! To beat the lines and crowd. It gets pretty busy! I’m would start with the pandas. I didn’t know there was a line for it, but it goes fast. Just be aware that seeing animals is not guaranteed. The weather was gorgeous! Wear sunscreen and or bring a hat if it’s sunny. I stayed at the zoo for a few hours but you can spend the whole day there! Ride the sky tram! It’s really fun and you get to see a good view of the zoo and beyond. I booked my ticket online. Sometimes you can get discounts…just check online or with your hotel!

5.00The volunteer staff is a great resource, they know everything and kindly share it. The park itself is laid out in a walkable circular pattern with e carts and strollers to rent if needed. Finally the wildlife viewing is AMAZING!!!!

5.00Fantastic Zoo. The most beautiful one I’ve ever seen with surrounding mountains. The African tram was great. We didn’t need to purchase the safari ride to see everything just fine.!

5.00It was an excellent experience. The guide was available every 5-10 minutes way to lead to proper directions where we wanted to go. Due to proper advice we were able to see entire safari. The experience to see animals from next to them was fantastic.

1.00Safari wasn’t that exciting not too many animals, tram was ok but didn’t really get close to animals. Some construction at the park which we never knew about couldn’t see the elephants. Sorry was little over rated
