  Had a great trip, collection and drop off from hotel had been like clockwork. Boat and room on boat was lovely. Food was great. Staff had been attentive and friendly. What more could you ask for. There are many options for boat tours in Ha Long but unlikely to tick as many boxes. Would really recommend.   The Best Cruise On Halong Bay My partner and I did the one night cruise with Sena. Met by our host for the trip, we were picked up from our Hanoi hotel and travelled the three hours to Halong Bay. Sena operate in the Lan Ha Bay Area of Halong - which is much quieter (63 vessels per day against over 500 in main Halong Bay) The boat was beautiful with only 24 guests and 15 staff. Our cabin was beautiful, the scenery is awesome and the activities were varied and very laid back. We swam, kayaked, visited the caves and even did a bit of karaoke! Very laid back and serene throughout. But what made this so special were the staff; from the host (Sunday) to all the serving staff and crew….just charming, attentive and warm. One night was plenty and we packed it all in whilst still being able to relax. I’d thoroughly recommend Sena - the other operators operate much bigger craft and so the intimacy of the Sena boats makes their operation absolutely special.

  Beautiful experience in Lan Ha Bay, less crowded than Ha Long (from which you transit to get to the main ship), suitable for spending the night. All activities are well carried out and organized. The staff is professional and very friendly, the food great. Extras have tourist prices (however lower than European prices, cocktails are on 6-7€). The rooms are beautiful, quiet and from the windows you can admire the beauty of the bay. The ship is for 34 guests maximum, so very intimate.

  A Mer*** I'm just saying that there was a mouse in the room and a dirt both in the sea of halong bay and especially in the room, plus at 3 am there was a mouse that ran around the room!!! 😡😡😡

  Couple experience with 2 teenagers. The negatives: - Travel time versus cruise time. Pick up at 8:00 a.m. our hotel located in the center of Hanoi then long drive; we arrive on board at 1:00 p.m. (There is notably a 30min stop to visit a pearl farm without much interest to us) It is important to consider travel times over a relatively short experience. - Level of catering clearly to improve - not tasty and rather bland for our taste. We didn’t like it or the kids. – Lang Ha Bay is less crowded but we were still dozens of boats in the row of onions; it is a legal obligation of the government that governs cruises. The positives: - Very competent, invested and empathetic Sunday guide who truly carries the cruise and has at heart that passengers have a good time. Beautiful landscapes.   Superb boat design, and exquisite tasteful interior. Impeccable service from another era. Comfort, luxury, good meals. The bay itself is too busy.   We had a great trip on Sena Cruise out on Lan Ha Bay. Pick up was on time from our hotel in Hanoi by our guide "Mike". After picking up the remaining travellers, we headed out to Ha Long Bay to get on a tender, out to the Sena Cruise boat. The tender was a bit old and weary, however it did the job! As we approached the boat, the crew were all waving and smiling, ready to great us. The cruise was amazing. We ate more than enough food, with catering for all dietary requirements available. We visited a cave out on the water, enjoyed happy hour on the rooftop and made spring rolls. After dinner karaoke or squid fishing was available before bed. The morning started breakfast and the kayaking before packing and having an early lunch. Staff were absolutely amazing, but a special thank you to Luong, who made sure we were fully satisfied with every element of the cruise, provided recommendations for food and was so pleased to be able to teach us some of her language. I don't think there was a time she wasn't smiling.Luong made our time on Sena Cruises
