Villa Adriana
Begin your morning visiting Villa Adriana, an UNESCO World Heritage Site! The Villa, located around 30km from the Eternal City on the Monti Tiburtini, could be reached via the ancient Roman roads Tiburtina and Prenestina. The Hadrian’s Villa has been erected by the request of the Emperor Hadrian. It is a monumental living complex that even today continues to display the lavishness and enormous power of Ancient Rome. The Emperor Hadrian has chosen this area for its abundant waters and availability of four aqueducts that passed through to Rome. This lovely estate is filled with striking palaces, temples, libraries, fountains and of course gardens. You will visit the Villa on your own – a Private Licensed Tour Guide to be requested in advance with an extra cost.
Our Tivoli Italian Gardens will continue as you reach Tivoli City! You will take a stroll through this Ancient Town! During your walk admire the Sibilla Temple and the Ponte Gregoriano.

5.00Our driver and guide was Salvatore and he was fabulous. He gave us a great overview of the day, was very engaging and provided safe transportation. Our lunch at Sybila Restaurant was delicious. The pace of the day was perfect for us. However, Adriana’s Villa is huge and to be thorough would require more than two hours. The interior of the villa Estee could be skipped in favor of spending the two hours in the gardens. The fountains are spectacular.

5.00Our driver, Stefano, was wonderful. A perfect mix of knowledgeable, easy going, fun and accommodating. He arranged an excellent lunch for us in Tivoli and offered us other suggestions for restaurants for our stay in Rome. Highly recommend him.

5.00Had a great day visiting Tivoli, Italy. Alex Paolini was our fantastic driver. He was knowledgeable, punctual and obviously loves what he does. He brought us right to the door each time, had water and snacks for us. The van was clean and the drive was enjoyable. We learned a lot.

5.00This was an incredible place to visit. Our guide Paolo was the best. Super knowledgeable and very friendly. He made us lunch reservations at a great restaurant. If you’re on the fence about this tour don’t be just do it!

5.00Highly recommend. Alex was knowledgeable, on time! No waiting. Had water and snacks for us. Amazing day! Started our day at Villa d'este walked us right to the ticket office. Waited for us while we had lunch. Then on to Hadrian's Villa. Right to the door. Hot day, picked us up right at the exit. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

5.00Giuliano was a gem. Nothing was too difficult for him, especially with a young adult who has special needs. The highlight of the trip was lunch at a beautiful historical restaurant. We highly recommend this trip to Tivoli. Giuliano was very well-informed & a kind, caring gentleman.

5.00Do not leave Rome without escaping the busy city for a magical day in the medieval hilltop town of Tivoli! You must request *Stefano* as he was so kind, and provided a lot of interesting information throughout our drive and between stops. We first visited Hadrians's Villa, and as these ruins are all outdoors, Stefano was thoughtful of the heat to bring us earlier in the day. His communication was excellent on WhatsApp and he booked a lunch reservation for us in a beautiful, delicious restaurant (Sybilla). We had a little extra time before lunch so he drive us to an amazing viewpoint over the waterfalls and town, and to visit a church for pictures and an extra experience. As Stefano explained, Villa d'Este is a newer estate from with an indoor portion and gardens with lovely fountains. Our teenagers tired of the long walks, and Stefano was understanding when we wanted to end a bit earlier, as well as very flexible for a different drop-off point back in Rome as we decided to visit the Capuchin crypt before returning to our hotel. Grazie Stefano for a perfect family day!
