All drivers are required to get a hardcopy paper booklet of your 1949 Geneva Convention International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by the Official agency in your country. (AAA, AA, CAA, ATCUAE, et al.)
For driving licenses issued from France, Switzerland, Taiwan, Germany, Monaco, and Belgium, you need a JAPANESE TRANSLATION of your local license. You can obtain the physical copy from JAF office (Japan Automobile Federation).
1968 Vienna Convention, IDA, IAA or any other permits acquired online are NOT RECOGNIZED by Japan.
Online copy or any digital copy of your permits are NOT valid.
Driving permits from Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Kuwait, Qatar, and some countries are NOT ALLOWED to drive in Japan, please check if your country issues the 1949 Geneva Convention Permits.

5.00If you ever wanted to drive through Tokyo in a go-cart while dressed as iconic Japanese characters, look no further. Ren was our guide, and Sandeep prepped our carts. Both never missed a beat. We saw some great landmarks. We drove through Scramble Square and, unfortunately, were told we couldn't race the Porsche or McLaren that happened to roll up next to us. You will see a lot of people smiling and waving. We had a blast and highly recommend it to anyone who loves a fun drive.

5.00Easy to find. Awesome costume selection and the 90 minute tour did not disappoint. So many cool sites and our tour guide took amazing photos of our group. Our tour guide Pancho was on a different motor bike, allowing him to take photos from great angles. In contrast I noticed other tour company guides taking photos while reaching around the side of their go-karts. Can’t say for sure, but I’d imagine their photos weren’t as good as ours.

2.00Review: Go Karting in Tokyo Go-karting through the streets of Tokyo is an experience like no other—exciting, exhilarating, and surreal as you zip past iconic landmarks. I genuinely enjoyed the activity itself and highly recommend it as a must-try for anyone visiting the city. However, I strongly advise choosing a different company for this experience. Unfortunately, the staff at this company lacked hospitality and basic kindness, which dampened the overall vibe. Everything felt rushed, as if they were simply trying to get it over with so they could head home. There was a noticeable lack of enthusiasm, and the energy they projected was more anxious than welcoming. It’s disappointing because an activity this fun should be paired with a team that matches the excitement. While the go-karting itself was fantastic, I’d suggest looking for a company that prioritizes customer service and adds to the thrill of the experience with a positive and friendly attitude. The right company can make all the difference!
